Mimari Tasarım Eğitiminde Workshop–stüdyo Paralelliği Üzerine

Abstract

Mimarlık eğitiminde, tasarım eğitiminin gerçekleştiği yer olarak proje stüdyosunun içeriğinin günün koşullarında tartışılır hale gelmiş olması ve stüdyonun yapısal bir değişiklikle yeniden organize edilmesi gerektiğinin düşünülmesi, araştırmanın çıkış noktasını oluşturmuştur. Ülkemizde ve dünyada gitgide yaygınlaşan düşünce, enformel mimarlık eğitimi yapılabileceği ve bunun, formel eğitime önemli katkılarının olabileceği yönündedir. Bu nedenle, günümüzde çağdaş eğitim uygulaması olarak kabul edilmekte olan bu düşüncenin kişiye kazandırdıkları enformel mimari tasarım eğitimi yapan workshoplar üzerinden araştırılmıştır. Tez kapsamında, mimarlık eğitimine ilişkin genel bir çerçeve çizilmiş, formel stüdyoların içeriği incelenmiş, giderek yaygınlaşan, kısa süreli, yoğun ve müfredat dışı çalışmalar olan workshopların mimarlık eğitimine katkısı tartışılmış ve stüdyo – workshop paralelliğinin eğitime etkisi bir soruşturma üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir.The controversial situation of the content of design studio, within the current conditions and the context of architectural education and the need for an idea to re-organize this studio by means of a structural rearrangement is the initial point of this thesis. The spreading idea in our country and across the world, is the possibility of giving an informal architectural education and its significant contribution to the individual. The advantage one can get from this idea which is widely accepted to be the contemporary educational practice, has been investigated by means of the workshops, that are the samples of informal architectural design education. Aiming at it, a general frame concerning the architectural education has been drawn, the content of formal studios has been investigated, the contribution of workshops to the architectural education, the non-curricular, short-time and dense studying platforms which are spreading gradually, have been discussed and on the results of a questionnaire, the effect of workshop - studio coherence over the education has been evaluated.
