The plagiarism, which means theft of work of art is not defined in the laws. On the other hand, the Law on Intellectual and Industrial Rights punishes the violation of the freedom of quotation and the persons who take credit for the works of art created by other people. As in the evolution of the works of art, musical works are created by making use of the existing works. The plagiarism in a musical work cannot be detected regarding a certain threshold; so, if a borrowing constitutes plagiarism is determined on the basis of that specific work.
