Abstract

Bu çalışmada, gündelik hayat pratikleri incelenerek günümüz şehirlerinin içinde bulunduğu durum transkentleşme kavramı ile tanımlanmıştır. Bu yeni tanım, günümüz şehirlerinin içinde bulunduğu yaratıcı dengesizlik durumudur. Şehirlerin, yapılı çevredeki her özelliklerinin gene çevrenin kendisi tarafından tasarım kaynağı olarak kullanıldığı bir tasarım sürecine dönüşümünün teorisidir. Kent kendini, kendi değişimi üzerine var etmiştir. Belirsizdir; dönüşüm bu belirsizliğin strüktürü üzerine kurulmuştur. Teknoloji, nüfus, göçler ve kitle iletişimi bu dönüşümün ana etmenleri olarak incelenmiştir. Bu süreç içerisinde değişen, kentsel deneyim, mekan özellikleri ve ortaya çıkan kentsel alan tanımı incelenerek, bedenin güncel ve potansiyel ‘durum’ları (kentsel hafıza-deneyimler) tanımlanmıştır. Şehir, bulunduğumuz yer değildir; şehir, kim olduğumuzdur; içinden izlediğimiz bu değişim ise ancak gündelik hayatın dönüşümü ile tanımlanabilir.

In this study, the contemporary city and its ‘situations’are determined through everyday life practices. Transurbanism is a theory of the transition of cities as they are now, towards a design process in which the highly informed character of every built environment is used as a design resource by that environment itself. Vagueness is the characteristic of this transformation. Technology, media, population and migrations are determined and analysed as the self-agents of this transformation. Urbanity, architecture, and cultural structures in general is conceived as a vast, responsive external memory system and contemporary developments as the nervous system that will change the storage and retrieval process. The changing city experience, its spatial properties and the emerging condition of ‘urban field’ are determined through which the actual and pottential ‘situations’of the body are defined. City is not just where we are, it is who we are; so this transformationof the city which we live through can only be analysed through the transformation of everyday life.
