Mimari Mekan Kimliğini Belirleyen Yönüyle Doğal Işık

Abstract

Bu çalışma kapsamında, “doğal ışığın mimari mekan kimliğini belirlemesi” konusu incelenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda ikinci bölümü “mimari mekan ve doğal ışık” oluşturmaktadır. Öncelikle mimari mekan kavramı ele alınmıştır. Daha sonra doğal ışık ve farklı boyutları incelenmiştir. Doğal ışığın mimari mekandaki fiziksel-ölçülebilen yönleri incelemenin dışında tutulmuş, mekana katkısı, niteliksel yönleriyle ön plana çıkarılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise; mimari mekan ve doğal ışık kavramları örtüştürülmektedir. Bu bölümde doğal ışık ve mekan kimliği açıklanmıştır. Doğal ışığın mekan kimliğinin belirlenmesinde nasıl bir rol oynadığı ortaya konmuştur. Mekan kimliğinin belirlenmesinde, ışığın mekanın okunmasına, etkisine ve estetik değerlendirmesine olmak üzere üç farklı boyuttaki katkısı düşünülmüş ve sırasıyla bu durumlar çeşitli örneklerin ışığında incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde ise, ışığın mimarlık tarihinde mekan kimliğine olan etkisi ortaya konmuş ardından doğal ışığı kendi mimarilerine kimlik veren yönüyle kullanan çağdaş mimarlar ve binalarından örnekler incelenmiştir. Sonuçlar bölümünde ışığın mekan kimliğini belirleyen yönünün anlaşılmasında mekandaki deneyimin önemi ortaya konmuştur. Doğal ışığın düşünülerek tasarlandığı binalarda sonucun daha özgün olabileceği vurgulanmıştır .Mimarlık eğitiminde doğal ışığın bu tarz kullanımının geliştirilebilmesi için bazı öneriler getirilmiştir.

In the scope of this study, the subject of ‘the natural light’s determining the identity of the architectural space’ was searched. In this direction, ‘architectural space and natural light’ makes up the second chapter. Firstly, architectural space concept was handled. After that, natural light and its different aspects were explained. The physical-measurable sides of the natural light in the architectural space were out of the scope of the search; its additions to the space and qualitative aspects were raised. In the third chapter, the architectural space and the natural light concepts were intersected. What kind of a role the natural light plays on determining the space identity, was stated. In the determination of the space identity, light’s additions in three different dimensions namely, reading the space, effect and aesthetical evaluation and respectively these situations were examined by the help of different examples. In the forth chapter, in the history of architecture, the effect of light on the identity of the space was stated and some examples from modern architects utilizing the natural light with its aspects of giving identity to their architectural works were given. In the conclusion part, the importance of the experience in the space on understanding the aspect of light determining the identity of space was stated. It was stressed that the result could be more original in the buildings designed regarding the natural light. Some recommendations were brought in order this kind of usage of the natural light can be improved in the education of architecture.
