Kentsel Açık Alanlarda Peyzaj-sanat İlişkileri İstanbul Örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, kentsel açık alan tasarımı, peyzaj ve sanat ilişkileri açısından irdelenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda sanat, peyzaj ve kentsel açık alan gibi temel kavramlar tanıtılmış, daha sonra aralarındaki ilişkiler kentsel açık alanların gelişim sürecinde ve peyzaj mimarlığı konuları kapsamında incelenmiştir. Farklı şekillerde gerçekleşebilen peyzaj-sanat ilişkileri arasından, ‘bir peyzaj öğesi olarak sanat objesi’ olgusunun, günümüzde kentsel açık alan tasarımında önem kazandığı görülmüştür. Bu nedenle bu konu detaylandırılarak, peyzaj öğelerinde sanatsal boyutun irdelenmesine yönelik bir sınıflandırma çalışması yapılmış ve peyzaj öğeleri üzerinde uygulanan sanat dalları tanıtılarak çağdaş dünya örnekleriyle desteklenmiştir. İnceleme sonucunda belirlenen kriterler doğrultusunda İstanbul örneği ele alınmıştır. Sonuç olarak, geçmiş dönemlerde sanat objelerinin birer peyzaj öğesi olarak mekan içinde yer aldıkları, ancak günümüzde tasarım aşamasında düşünülmediklerinden mekanla ve kullanıcıyla ilişki kuramadıkları tespit edilmiştir.

In this study, the urban open space design is analyzed from the perspective of art and landscape relationship. The fundamental concepts such as art, landscape and urban open space have been introduced, followed by the explanation of relationships between these concepts through the historical development of open spaces within the scope of landscape architectural themes. It has been proved that the concept ‘art object as a landscape element’, included in different types of landscape-art relationships, has got a great significance for the design of urban open spaces today. Therefore, this subject matter has been investigated in detail, leading to a study on classification of landscape elements and the artistic dimensions therein. The types of artwork applications on landscape elements have been introduced with examples of world’s contemporary case studies. The resulting criteria have been taken into consideration in the case study of Istanbul. In summary, it has been proved that in the past art objects used to have a place in open spaces as landscape elements, whereas today they are not considered during the design process, resulting in their failure to get in touch with both people and place.
