İnşaat Sektöründeki Yöneticilerin Liderlik Yaklaşımları

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı liderlik kavramları ile Türkiye’de ki inşaat sektöründe yer alan yöneticilerin liderlik tarzlarının incelenmesidir. Liderlik kavramları, liderlik kuramları, liderliğin güncel konuları ve inşaat sektöründe liderliğin geleceği konuları literatür kullanılarak tanımlanmıştır. Yöneticilerin liderlik tarzlarını bulmak için yöneticilere bir anket formu uygulanmıştır. Liderlik stilleri işlemsel ve dönüşümsel olmak üzere iki gruba ayrılır. İşlemsel biçimin kapsamına giren iki yönetim stili, zorlayıcı yöneticiler ve otoriter yöneticilerdir. Dönüşümsel liderlik stili kapsamında dört yönetim biçimi vardır. Bunlar: İştirak, demokratik, eğitim ve hız belirleme ‘dir. Araştırma yöneticilerin işlemsel liderlik stili özelliklerini ve otoriter yönetici gibi davrandıklarını göstermektedir.

The aim of this study is to examine the leadership concepts and the leadership styles of managers in construction industry in Türkiye. The leadership concept, leadership theories, the contemporary issues of leadership and the future of the leadership in construction industry has been defined by using literature. To find the leadership styles of managers a questionnaire form has been applied to managers. The leadership styles are broken into two classes, transactional, transformational. The two styles of management that fall under the transactional form are coercive and authoritative. There are four managing styles under the transformational leadership. They are afflictive, democratic, coaching and pacesetting. The research shows that the managers show the properties of transactional leadership style and behave as an authoritative manager.
