Özet
Bu çalışmada, gerek akademik ve profesyonel çalışmalarda gerekse günlük yaşamda Bilgi Teknolojilerinin giderek daha etkin bir rol almasından yola çıkılarak; bu sistemlerin mimarlık eğitiminde kullanımına örnek bir model önerilmektedir. Bu amaçla: eğitimde verimlilik ve yeni teknolojilerin kullanımı; mimarlık eğitiminin karakteri ve bilgisayar uygulamalarına uygunluğu konularında araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu araştırma sonucunda önerilen model, bilgi teknolojisi uygulamalarının yaygın olarak kullanılan bir biçimi olan, dijital ortamda görsel bir veritabanı uygulamasıdır. Kullanıcı sınıflarının internet üzerinden, yetkileri dahilinde, yararlanabildiği model, mimarlık tarihinin önemli ve referans oluşturabilecek yapıları ile ilgili bilgiler içerir. Yapılara ilişkin bilgilerle birlikte, mimarlarla ilgili bilgiler; mimari imgeler ve dijital malzemeler; mimari terimler ve yapılar hakkında yorumlar da sistemde yer almaktadır. Sistem kullanıcısı, bu bilgi alanları arasında sorgulama ve araştırma yapabilir; kendisine tanınan yetki sınırları içinde bilgi ekleyebilir.
This research is based on the analysis that Information Technologies have been gaining a more effective role both in academic, professional and daily activities. Therefore, in this study, a model is proposed as an example for the use of Information Technologies in architectural education. For this reason, a research is performed, on: the efficiency and use of new technologies in education; and the character of architectural education and its appropriateness for computer applications. The resulting proposal is a digital visual database, which is one of the most common ways of information technology applications. The model, which will be reached through internet, within the privilege limits of defined user accounts, comprises the information about the considerable and reference buildings of architectural history. Furthermore, in addition to the information about the buildings: information about the architects; architectural images and other kind of digital material; architectural terms and comments on buildings are also included in the model. The system user has the opportunity to perform search and investigation among the records; and add new information to the system, within his authority.
