Eminönü Vlora Han Restorasyon Projesi

Abstract

Bu tez çalışması, Eminönü semtinde yer alan ve İstanbul’un en önemli Art Nouveau yapılarından biri olan Vlora Han’ın günümüzdeki durumunun belgelenmesini ve yapının gelecek nesillere aktarılabilmesi için yapılması gerekli müdahaleleri ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında yapının tarihsel gelişimi çeşitli arşiv ve haritalardan araştırılmış, Eminönü semtinin tarihçesi ve Art Nouveau üslubunun Avrupa’da ortaya çıkışı ve İstanbul’da kullanımı ile ilgili detaylı bir literatür araştırması yapılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında, geleneksel ve aletli rölöve teknikleri ile ölçüm yapılmış, bu veriler doğrultusunda yapının mevcut durumunu gösteren 1/50 ölçekli rölöve projesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sonraki aşamada, yapılan araştırmalar ve rölöve projesi doğrultusunda restitüsyon önerisi hazırlanmış, yapının korunması için gerekli müdahalelerin belirlenmesi ve yeni işlev önerisinin geliştirilmesi ile çalışma sonlandırılmıştır.

This study aims to document the recent situation of Vlora Khan, which is located in Eminonu district and is one of the most important Art Nouveau buildings in Istanbul, and to state the necessary interventions in order to present the building to the next generations. In the context of the research, the historical development of the building was searched in various archives and maps and a detailed research was done on the history of Eminonu district, the emergence of Art Nouveau style in Europe and its presentation in Istanbul. In the context of the research, measurements were taken by traditional techniques and with technical equipments; with this data the architectural project presenting the recent condition of the building was prepared in the scale of 1/50. In the following step, a restitution project was developed in accordance with the research and the survey done; and the study was finalized by determining the necessary interventions for the conservation of the building and developing a re-use proposal.
