Mimar Üst Kimliğinin Tanımlanmasındaki Süreklilik

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Antik dönemden günümüze kadar belleklerimizde oluşan mimar imajının temel özellikleri belirli eşikler ele alınarak yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu sayede mimar üst kimliği diye tanımlanan spekülatif kavramın hem eski dönemlerdeki mimar mitlerinin dönüşümü sonucu hem de çağın teknolojik ve ekonomik dinamiklerine uygun biçimde düzenlenerek tümel bir yapıya sahip olduğu tartışılmış ve birçok özelliği bünyesinde barındıran bu üst kimliğin günümüze kadar ki sürekliliği araştırılmıştır. Genel olarak tarihçilerin, mimarlık okullarının ve meslek odaları ile kuruluşların algılattıkları mimar tarifi üzerinden üst kimlik tanımının sürekliliği incelenmiştir. Ancak mimar üst kimliği varsayımının ispatlanması gibi bir çaba söz konusu değildir. Çalışmadan çıkarılabilecek en önemli sonuç, varsayılan üst kimliğin, mimarlığın kaçınılmaz doğası gereği olduğunun fark edilmesidir.

In this study, the image of architect’s basic characteristics will be tried to be interpreted within the thresholds of architecture. Through this interpretation, the speculative concept that could be defined as superior identity of architect and its wholly structure’s characteristics which are arranged according to the transformation of architectural myths of ancient times and according to the technological and economic dynamics of this era, have been discussed. Beyond the constitution of various characteristics in superior identity’s structure, the continuity of superior identity has been also studied. In the thesis generally, the definition of architect according to historians, architecture schools, professional organizations and institutions and their approach to the continuity of superior identity have been searched. On the other hand in this thesis to prove the assumption of superior identity of architect is not the fundamental aim. The most significant result of this study is to realize that the assumption of superior identity is unavoidable because of the extensive definition of architecture.
