Abstract
Bu çalışmada, üniform olmayan taban malzemesinde koruma tabakası altından sedimentin emilmesi üzerine yapılan deneysel araştırmanın sonuçları sunulmaktadır. Emilme işlemi araştırılmıştır. Koruma blokları arasındaki boşlukta oluşan vortekslerin, emilme işlemi için anahtar bir etken olduğu bulunmuştur. Vorteksin içerisine giren sediment, vorteksle birlikte akımın ana gövdesine girer (koruma tabakası altından sedimentin emilmesi). Emilmenin başlangıcı için kritik şart belirlenmiştir. Emilmenin başlangıcının iki parametreye bağlı olduğu bulunmuştur : (1) Shields parametresi ( sediment çapına bağlı); ve (2) sediment çapının koruma tabakası yüksekliğine oranı d/D. d/D’nin bir fonksiyonu olarak emilme için kritik Shields parametresi değişimi belirlenmiştir. Taşların zaman içerisinde tabana batması ile emilme işleminin zaman serisi araştırılmıştır. Üniform olmayan taban malzemesi durumu için taşlar altından taban malzemesinin toplu hareketi gözlemlenmiştir ve taban malzemesinin üst kısmına elek analizi uygulanarak başlangıç durmu ile karşılaştırma yapılmıştır.
In this study,the results of an experimental investigation on suction removal of sediment from between armor blocks at non-uniform bed material are presented. The process of suction has been investigated. It was found that the vortices that form in the holes between the armor blocks are key to the process. The sediment swept into these vortices is entrained into the main body of the flow by these same vortices ( the suction removal of sediment from between armor blocks). The critical condition for onset of suction was determined. It was found that the onset of suction is governed by two parameters : (1) Shields parameter (based on the sediment size); and (2) the ratio of sediment size to stone size, d/D. The variation of the critical Shields parameter for suction as a function of d/D was determined. The timescale of the suction process and the dowbward displacement of stones have also been investigated. For non-uniform bed material condition, segregation of the bed material was observed under the stones and compare with initial conditions and sieve analysis was applied surface of the bed material.
