In this thesis the migration process of highly-skilled migrants is examined from a psychological viewpoint, especially with regards to factors supporting or hindering the adaptation process. The terms migrant and urban interior are linked to each other as a notion, by their temporality and mobility. A participatory urban interior design project is proposed as a measure to ease the adaptation process of highly-skilled migrants. With creating a participatory urban interior design platform, it is argued that becoming citizen is a condition that appears through spatial and expressive negotiations between the local society and the mobile people.
