Thesis(Ph.D) -- Istanbul Technical University, Graduate School, 2021
In this thesis, a non-contact monitoring/inspection approach based on a smartphone camera and a computer vision algorithm is proposed to estimate beams' vibrating characteristics and stresses subjected to thermal loads. It is hypothesized that a beam's vibration can be captured using a smartphone camera operating at slow-motion mode, which is higher than conventional video camera frame rates.
