Özet
Bu çalışmada metilmetakrilat monomerinin polimerleştirilmesinde kullanılabilecek bor içeren farklı iki radikal başlatıcı sentezlenmiştir ve sentezlenen bu iki başlatıcı ATRP reaksiyonunda etkin bir şekilde kullanılmıştır. İlk olarak karboranmonool ve karborandiol yapılarındaki hidroksil (OH) uç grupları 2-bromopropiyonil bromür maddesi ve çözücü olarak kloroform kullanılarak modifiye edilmiş ve uç gruplarda aktif brom grubu olması sağlanarak başlatıcı grupları sentezlenmiştir. Sentezlenen polimerlerin kimyasal yapıları FT-IR, 1H-NMR ve 11B-NMR yöntemleri ile incelenmiş ve karşılaştırılmıştır.Elde edilen polimerlerin molekül ağırlıkları (Mn) ve molekül ağırlık dağılımları (Mw) jel geçirgenlik kromotografisi (GPC) ile incelenmiştir. Polimerlerin termal analizleri için ise DSC ve TGA cihazları kullanılmıştır.
In this study first of all two different initiators were created and then these two initiators were used in ATRP reaction effectively. Hydroxyl groups were changed with active bromide group with the help of. 2-bromopropionyl bromide that are take part in Carboranemonool and carboranediol structures. FT-IR and NMR methods were used for characterization of initiators.Carborane initiators were used for polymerization of methylmethacrylate.Mainly the effect of reaction time was examined onto the polymerization.Conversions of polymers were determined gravimetrically.Gel permeation chromotography (GPC) was used to determine molecular weight of all polymers,Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC),were used to determine Tg values of all polymers Thermogravimetric analyser (TGA) were used to determine 50% percent degradation time and char yield amount of polymers at 500 oC and 800 oC.These methods were used for characterization of all polymers
