| dc.description.abstract | Bu tez zemin dondurma yöntemini, temel mühendisliği ve tünellerde bir stabilizasyon metodu olarak araştırmıştır. Donma kabarmalarının su muhtevası ile ilişkisini ve donma hızının kabarmalara olan etkisini araştırmak için Viyana Teknik Üniversitesi’nde yapılmış olan deneyler mevcuttur. Test sonuçlarının korelasyonu, buz lenslerinin gelişiminin hızlı dondurma yöntemi uygulandığında yavaş dondurma yöntemine oranla daha az olduğunu göstermiştir. Buda yavaş dondurma yöntemi uygulandığında daha fazla kabarma anlamına gelmektedir. Ayrıca kabarma olayı su muhtevası ile ilişkilendirilmiş olup, su muhtevası arttıkça kabarma olayı artacaktır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This thesis reviews and examines the ground freezing as a stabilization method for foundation engineering and tunneling. There were some experiments which were carried out in TU Vienna in order to understand the behavior of frost heave due to relation with water content, and the effect of speed of freezing on heaving. The correlations of the test results showed that when fast freezing put in practice, growing of ice lenses would be less compared to slow rate freezing. This means there will be more heaving in slow rate freezing. Also heaving phenomena is correlated with the water content ratio so that if water content ratio increases, the amount of heaving would increase. | |
