Mekânların Dönüşüm Potansiyeli Ve Mimarlıkta ‘palimpsest’ Kavramı

Abstract

Toplumda değişen mekânsal beklentiler ve mekânların dönüşüm potansiyelinin fark edilmesini konu alan bu araştırma, günümüzde değişen toplumsal yapıyı ve paralelinde değişen insan profilini inceleyip, mekânla kurulan duygusal boyutları, insanların mekânsal boyutta değişen beklentilerini ortaya koymayı amaçlamış ve bu bağlamda dönüştürülmüş mekânlar ve “palimpsest” kavramı incelenip, mekânların fark edilme potansiyelleri ve kente kazandırılmalarının boyutları tartışılmıştır. Çalışmanın kuramsal içeriğinde dönüştürülen mekânlarda bireye ve mekâna bağlı değişkenler ayrıntılı olarak ele alınmış ve burada elde edilen bilgilerden yararlanılarak, konu İstanbul’daki çeşitli mekânlar üzerinden örneklenilerek ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Tüm bunların sonucunda mekânların dönüşümünde en çok etkili olan bireysel ve mekânsal kriterler tespit edilmiş ve bu dönüşümün kente kazandıracağı faydalar çeşitli boyutlarda ortaya konulmuştur.

In this study, which has the subject of changing placial expectations in society and awareness of places’ transformation potential, is inspecting today s changing social structure and the parallel change in the people s profile and, the emotional dimensions between people and place. On the other hand this study intended to reveal placial size changing expectations, and in this context converted spaces and palimpsest concept has been reviewed by the helps of awareness of the places which have potential to be transformed. In the theoretical part of this study, all the place and individual depended variables are inspected and shown that the information obtained about various places in Istanbul. Also the information was put in place over the sample. As a result of transformations the most effective individual and spatial criteria had been detected and the values, which had been gained by the city, were introduced.
