Neutron Activation Analysis technique was used for determining concentrations of Mg, Mn, Cu, In, Na, V, Cl, Al, Br, Au, As, Sb, W, Zn, K, La, Ta, , Cr, Zr, Mo and Co elements in 40 hair samples collected from the people who live in the rural and urban areas. The possible correlations between the concentration values and age, sex and living regions of the samplers were studied in this work. None of our samples contained hair with paint or henna. In order to be able to study the regional dependence, all of our samplers were chosen to be the people who have been living in their region for at least ten years. Half our samples were collected from Hekimhan region of Malatya city where is considered to be rural area. Other half of our samples was collected from the people who live in Istanbul. Samples were cleaned with alcohol and purified water according to the standard procedure given in the literature. Irradiations took place in TRIGA MARK II reactor in the Energy Institute of our university. . Analysis of the spectra was performed with Genie2000 software of nuclear physics research laboratory of physics department.
