Üniversite Kuruluşunun Kent Merkezi Arazi Kullanım Biçimine Etkisi: Çanakkale Örneği

Abstract

Bu tez çalışmasıyla yeni bir arazi kullanım kararı olan üniversite kuruluşunun kentlerin fiziksel ve sosyal dokusu üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiştir. Ekonomik ve toplumsal bir olay olan üniversite kuruluşunun kent dokusu ve kent yaşantısı içinde geliştirici güç rolü ve üniversite kurulması sonucu kent-üniversite ilişkisinin çeşitli boyutlarının fiziksel mekana etkileri saptanmıştır. Türkiye’de ve dünyada üniversite kuruluşunun gelişimi, Türkiye’de yüksek öğretim sistemi ve mekansal dağılımı, üniversitenin fiziksel gelişimi ve kent planlamasındaki yeri ve Türkiye ve dünyadan çeşitli üniversite örneklerinin kent mekanına olan etkileri incelenmiştir. Çanakkale kentinde üniversite kuruluşunun kent merkezi mekanına etkileri araştırılmış ve Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi’nin kent merkezi arazi kullanımına etkilerine yönelik fiziksel ve sosyal çevre bulguları ortaya konmuştur.In this study; the effects of the establishment of the university as a new land use decision on urban physical and social structure has been evaluated. The role of university establishment as an economical and social case on urban structure and urban life and the effects of various features of the relationship between the city and the university on physical areas ara determined. As a new land use decision; the hypothesis that Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University has effected the phsysical and social structure of Çanakkale urban area has been studied and the investigations are made according to this hypothesis by the following methods such as area studies, questionnaires and interviews. The development of establishment of universities in Turkey and in the world, university system in Turkey and the areal distribution, the physical development stages of the university, its role in city planning and its impacts to the urban areas are determined under the title “the historical development period of the university and land decision in urban areas”. The impacts of the university to the urban area of Çanakkale is investigated and the physical and social structure findings regarding the impacts of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University to the land use in Çanakkale urban area are brought up.
