Gemi Makineleri İşletmesinde Ergonomik Analiz

Abstract

Avrupada sanayi devriminin yapılmasıyla her geçen gün büyüyen makina sektörü günümüzde hayatın birçok alanında çok etkin hale gelmiştir. Özellikle üretim ve işletim yapılan sektörlerde makinalar hayatın vazgeçilmez öğeleri haline gelmiştir. Zaman içinde makinalar geliştirilerek büyük ve karmaşık sistemler oluşmuş ve insanların bu sistemleri işletmesiyle insan-makine sistemleri meydana gelmiştir. Makinaların hayatımızdaki yerinin artması işletimi kolaylaştırıp, üretim kalitesini artırırken bazı dezavantajları da beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu dezavantajlar daha çok insanlarla makinaların uyumsuzluğundan kaynaklanmaktadır. Bu uyumsuzluğu ortadan kaldırmak veya en aza indirmek için ergonomi bilimi geliştirilmiştir. Gelişmiş ülkelerde önemi anlaşılmış ve hızla uygulanmaya başlanmış olan ergonomi bilimine, maalesef ülkemizde henüz yeterli önem verilmemekte ve yeterince uygulanmamaktadır. Gemi makine dairesi birçok makine sistemini içeren karmaşık bir sistemdir. Bu makinelerin işletilmesiyle gürültü, titreşim, sıcaklık ve nem gibi bazı çevresel olumsuzluklar meydana gelir. Bunun yanında, geminin hareketli bir platform olmasından dolayı gemi hareketlerinin etkileri söz konusudur. Yetersiz aydınlatma işletimi olumsuz etkileyen başka bir faktördür. Bu olumsuzlukların insan sağlığı ve performansı üzerinde ciddi etkisi vardır. Ama maalesef gemi inşaasında ve işletiminde bu faktörler yeterince göz önünde bulundurulmamakta, sadece ekonomik olarak değerlendirme yapılmakta ve insan faktörünün uzun vadede ekonomiye etkisi düşünülmemektedir. Bu durum denizde çalışan personel açısından önemli bir problem olarak önümüze çıkmaktadır. Günümüzde yüksek maaşa rağmen gemide çalışacak personel bulunamamasında gemideki çalışma şartlarının zorluğu ve olumsuz çevresel şartların önemli etkisi olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmada gemi makine dairesindeki çevresel şartların ve deniz hareketlerinin çalışanların sağlığına ve performansına etkileri incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak gemi makine dairesinde çalışanların son derece olumsuz şartlarda çalıştıkları ve çalışma şartlarının iyileştirilmesi gerektiği, ilgili otoritelerin bu konuda zorunlu kurallar yürürlüğe koymasının gerekliliği gösterilmiştir.

After the industrial revolution in Europe the machinery sector has gradually grown up and machines become very important in many areas of our life. Especially in the production and operational industries, machines become the most important elements. By the time, by developing and integrating the machines, large and complex systems founded. These systems are called human-machine systems since the operators are human. The increment of place of machines in our life yielded not only high quality production and easy operation but also some disadvanteges. These disadvanteges are mostly because of disharmony of machines and humans. Ergonomics science is developed to reduce this dishormony to minimum. In developed countries the importance of ergonomics science is understood and it has been applied to man-machine systems. Unfortunately, in our country it is not understood and has not been apllied adequately yet. Ship engine room is a complex system which is integration of many machinery systems. The operation of these systems cause some negations as high temperature, humid, noise and vibration. Besides, ship movements have some effects on human. Insufficient illumination is another factor which affects operation of systems. These negations have great effect on human health and performance. Unfortunately, in ship construction and operation these factors are not taken into consideration. Only the economic condition is considered, however, the effects of human factors to economy in long time bases is not considered. This is an important problem for the people who work on-board ship. These days the shipping companies can not find personel to work on-board ship despite high salaries. The effects of bad working conditions and difficulty of job is thought to be one of the most important factors in this situation. In this study, the effects of environmental factors and sea conditions to human health and performance in ship engine room is inspected. In conclusion, the bad working conditions in ship engine room is shown and proved that the working conditions should be improved. Even more, the related authorities should make some mandatory rules related to ergonomic conditions on-board ship.
