| tr_TR |
dc.description.abstract | In the present study, a finite element material model is purposed for the nonlinear behavior of the two-dimensional reinforced concrete elements for monotonic increasing load. Stiffness matrices for material and typical finite element are developed separately, for concrete and steel. In this process the equilibrium equations and the geometrical compatibility at nodes are satisfied. Additionally, the type of the finite element and the shape functions are selected so that the geometrical compatibility conditions are fulfilled within the finite element as well, including the boundaries of the element. For steel, two types of finite element are developed, i.e., one-dimensional element for single steel bars and two-dimensional plane elements for web reinforcement lay in two directions. Quadrilateral finite elements having four nodes are adopted for concrete and web reinforcing steel. Furthermore, four integration points are used for the surface integrations. Adopting the conventional assumption that the displacements are small, the equilibrium equations are written on the undeformed configuration of the structural elements. Since step-wise solutions is required to capture the nonlinear behavior of the material, incremental stress-strain relationship is used in the analysis by including cracking and failure of concrete as well as yielding of steel. | en_US |
