Tasarım Uygulamaları Sürecinde Edim Ve Karar Verme Analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışma kapsamında, tasarımda problemlerin algılanması ve eskizler ile problemlerin somutlaştırılarak incelenmesi yoluyla tasarım karar yapılarının ve oluşumlarının daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi amaçlanmış, bu noktadan hareketle tasarımcıların karar bileşenlerini ortaya koyacak deneysel bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Tasarım alanında profesyonel olarak çalışmakta olan ve bunun yanısıra tasarım eğitiminde aktif olarak görev almış ve/veya almakta olan tasarımcılardan oluşan bir deney grubunun üyelerinin karar süreclerindeki bilişsel edimlerini belirleyebilmek ve tasarım sürecini inceleyebilmek için sesli düşünme (think-aloud) oturumunda altı tasarımcı üzerinde video kayıtları yapılmıştır. Tutanak analizi (protocol analysis) metodu kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile ortaya çıkacak veriler ile tasarım sürecinin analiz edilebilir verilere dönüştürülerek tanımlanması, bu sürecin tekrar edilebilir bir modelinin oluşturulabilmesi gibi ileride bu konularda yapılacak araştırmalara temel olması amacı güdülmektedir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda bu çalışmaya özel bir kodlama sistemi oluşturulmuştur. Bu araştırma sonucunda farklı tasarımcıların tasarım süreçleri karşılaştırılmaktadır.

In this research to understand better the structure of design decisions and formations by the way of examining the problems as they are percept and are put into form with sketching. And from this point, an experimental research that will demonstrate the decision processes of the designers was made on six professional designer/educator. Think-aloud sessions were applied and separate recordings made with video. Protocol analysis method was used in order to examine the design process and to determine the cognitive acts in the decision process of the members of the experiment group which is formed of designers working as professionals in design area as long as they contributed or/and have been contributing actively in design education. With the data gathered as a result of this research, it is aimed to define the design process by transforming it into analysable data, to form a basis to the following researches that will take place about this subject in the future such as creating a repeatable model of this process. In this aim, a special coding system for this research was created. Results of six different designer’s design processes are compared.
