Türkiye'de Kamusal Mekana Yapılan Yeni Bir Müdahale Önerisi Olarak İmkanmekan

Abstract

Tez kapsamında Türkiye’de kamusal yaşam ve kentlinin kamusal yaşama bakışı, kamusallığı algısı üzerine araştırma yapılmıştır, kamusal mekana yapılan müdahaleler ve yeni müdahalelerin neler olabileceği araştırılmıştır. Tez kamusal mekana yapılan müdahaleleri, dahil ve müdahil oluşu, kamusal mekanı üretenleri ve kullanıcılarını araştırmış ve sorgulamıştır. Kamusal mekana yapılan müdahaleler anlatıldıktan sonra yeni bir müdahale türü olarak imkanmekan önerilmiştir. İmkanmekan kamusal mekana yapılan küçük ölçekli müdahalelerin neler olabileceğini ve nasıl olabileceğini araştıran bir deneme sürecidir, ve tez kapsamında da deneme süreci olarak ele alınmıştır. Tezin sonucunda da imkanmekan küçük ölçekli müdahaleleri (köm) araştıran, sorgulayan bir deneme süreci olarak sunulmuştur.

The thesis is a research on being a city dweller in Turkey and the changes and modifications of the perception of the public space; it also gives a suggestion on a possible intervention to the public space. The thesis determines the problematic; how and why the public space is under some general administrative and controlling mechanisms or if not, how is it perceived to be so by the users, in Turkey. It also includes the research on interventions on public space, being included and being an intervener in a public space. In this thesis, imkanmekan is chosen as a case study, one of the reasons of this case study is being inside of this project from the beginning. The other reason is that imkanmekan is working on small scale intervention and this thesis is also analyzing small scale intervention. The affects of small scaled intervention in public place is analyzed by the way of observing imkanmekan. İmkanmekan is a project which will work as a web site, and it is a kind of experimentation process now. Imkanmekan is investigated and suggested as a new small scaled intervention model. As a trial period, ‘imkanmekan’ is suggested as the new intervention method in the finalization of the thesis.
