Biçim Kavram İlişkisi İçinde Mekan, Metafor,estetik

Abstract

Tezin amacı biçim ve kavram arasında mümkün bir ilişki kurarak, mekan, metafor ve estetik konularını bu ilişki içinde incelemektir. Tez üç ana bölüme ayrılmış durumdadır. İkinci bölümde –dünya her an yeniden tasarlanır- mekanın ne olduğu sorusunun yanıtını aramaktadır. Üçüncü bölüm -dünya kendi kendisini gizler- oluşturduğu perde modeli ile anlam, bilgi ve mekan kavramlarını metafor halinde biraraya getirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Dördüncü bölümde -adem dünyanın aynasıdır- estetik konusu incelenmektedir. Estetiğin bir his meselesi değil bir kavrayış problemi olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. Bu bölümde özne ve nesnenin aynı andalığından bahsederek algı ile düşünmenin birbirlerinden ayrı şeyler olmadıkları ifade edilmiştir. Bu şekilde mimariyi oluşturan soyut düzlem ‘dil’ haline gelmiştir. Mimardan beklenen yalnızca tasarlaması değildir. Aynı zamanda bir dil oluşturması beklenmektedir. Bu dil metaforların kaynağı olarak mimariye dair çeşitli anlamların üretilmesini sağlayacaktır.

The aim of this thesis is to establish a possible relation between form and concept and to examine space, metaphor and aesthetics as topics within this relation. The thesis is composed of three main chapters. The second chapter – the world is reconstructed every moment – endeavours to answer the following question: what is space? The third chapter – the world conceals itself – aims to bring the concepts of meaning, knowledge and space together as a metaphor through its screen model. The fourth chapter – man is the mirror of the world – investigates aesthetics. It touches upon the togetherness of the subject and the object and postulates that perception and thought are not separate from each other. As such, the abstract dimension that forms architecture reveals itself as a ‘language’. What is expected of an architect is not simply to construct. An architect is also expected to form a language. This language, as the source of the metaphors, provides the conditions whereby various meanings regarding architecture can be produced.
