Etkinliğini Yitirmiş Kentsel Mekanların Kent Yaşamına Katılması

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, kentsel mekanın değişen yaşam koşullarıyla beraber nasıl bir değişime uğradığı, ve bazı kentsel mekanların, içindeki yaşantının kesintiye uğramasıyla kent içindeki etkinliğini kaybetmesi durumu örnekler üzerinden incelenmiştir. Bu kentsel mekanların taşıdığı potansiyel ortaya konmaya çalışılmış ve geçici fonksiyonlarla tekrar kent yaşamına katılmaları yönünde örnekler üzerinden değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Kent, insanın hayatını sürdürmek için yapılandırdığı büyük bir boşluk ve insan aktiviteleri için etkileşimlerin yoğun olarak yaşandığı bir sahnedir. Eğer kentsel mekan bir boşluksa onu tanımlı hale getiren içindeki yaşantıdır. Değişimin hızına ayak uyduramayan kentsel mekandaki yaşantı da çeşitli sebeplerle kesintiye uğrar ve kentsel mekan kent içindeki ve yaşam içindeki etkinliğini kaybederek kendisini dışarıda, boşa çıkmış olarak bulur. Kentlinin kentsel mekandaki hareketine bağlı olarak gerçekleştirdiği aktiviteler örneklerle desteklenerek incelenmiştir. Etkinliğini yitirmiş kentsel mekanlarda gerçekleştirilen bu aktiviteler, mekana geçici fonksiyonlar yüklemekte ancak bu o mekan için kalıcı potansiyele dönüşmektedir.

In this thesis, how the urban place has changed with the changing life conditions and the position some of the urban places have lost their effectiveness inside the city due to splitting up the life involved into its own, are researched giving examples. Those urban places which have the potential are being tried to be explained and how they can be turned into its lively place as before is evaluated. The city is like a stage which is not only the space where people can survive, but also they can carry out all their activities. If the urban place is a space, the life taking place in makes it meaningul. The urban place that cannot catch up with the speed of the changing starts losing its activity and effectiveness are discussed and supported with the examples. The urban places that have lost their effectiveness regain their ınvolving vital experience with the temporary functions is researched by giving the ways how they can get involved in the vital experience and the potantial of the urban places. For this reason, the cultural activities which supply the liveliness of the city is researched. These activities which are performed in the places that have lost their effectiveness give the temporary functions to the space, but this space turns into the permanent potantial.
