Mimarlık Ve Sinema Etkileşimi Bağlamında Mekansal İmge Kullanımıyla Durağan Mekanın Dinamik Mekana Dönüşümü

Abstract

Bu çalışmada mimarlık ve sinema arasındaki etkileşim mekan kavramı üzerinden incelenirken; her iki disiplin için de mekanın sadece fiziksel öğeleri ile öne çıkan özellikleri değil, barındırdığı tüm kimlikleri ve yan anlamları ile zihinlere hitap eden yönlerine de değinilmiştir. Film içinde mekanın dönüştüğü biçimler ele alınırken, mekansal imge kullanımıyla mekanın dönüştüğü yan anlamlar ve kimliklerin kurguya olan canlandırıcı ve dinamik etkisi saptanmıştır. Bilinçaltıyla sınırlanan mekanların imgesel ve biçimsel öğeleri ile zihinsel mekanları görselleştirilmesi olgusu incelenirken, mekansal imge kullanımı ve dönüştürücü etkisi üzerinde durulmuştur. Literatür araştırması ve örnek olarak seçilen “Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind” filminin mekansal analizi sonucunda sinemanın mimari mekan üzerinden söylem iletebilme gücünün; kültürel ve duygusal detayları mimari ilişkiler ve kontrastlar üzerinden temsil eden mekanlardaki mekansal imge kullanımının insan zihnindeki algısının dinamik ve akıcı olmasıyla orantılı olduğu saptanmıştır. Görme ve görselleştirmenin mekan deneyime katkısının rolünün yanında mekanların insan zihniyle bütünleşmesini sağlayan mekansal imge kullanımın getirdiği farklı bakış açılarının mekan deneyiminin gücünü arttırmakta olduğu belirtilmiş, mimarlığın mekan tasarımını sadece biçimsel kurgularla değil, insan zihninde bıraktığı izler doğrultusunda tartışması gerektiği vurgulanmıştır.

While the interaction between architecture and cinema is examined in the notion of location; in this work it’s also touched upon, not only to features that are becoming prominent with the physical objects of the location for both disciplines, but also to mind-addressing aspects which are all the identities and side-meanings, that it houses. While in the movie, shapes that the location transforms into are handled with the usage of spatial image, all the side-meanings of the location and the refreshing and dynamic effects of the identities are also detected. While the subject of visualization of mental locations with the imaginary and figural subjects bound by the subconscious are examined, the usage of spatial image and transformative effect is also emphasized. Chosen as a literature research and an example, in the result of spatial analysis of the movie “Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind”, it’s determined that the cinema’s power to transfer on the media of architectural location is directly proportional with the perception of spatial image usage on the locations which represents the cultural and emotional details on the architectural interactions and contrasts, is dynamic and flowing in human’s mind. Besides the addition of visual and visualization to spatial experience, it’s stated that the usage of spatial image which provides an integration of locations with human minds is causing different perspectives and empowering the spatial experience, it’s emphasized that the spatial design should not be discussed with figural fictions only, but also in the aspect of the traces it leaves in a human’s mind.
