Geleceğin Yaşlıları İçin İdeal Mekân Tasarımı

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, geleceğin yaşlıları için yapılacak ideal mekân tasarımlarının nasıl olması gerektiğinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Öncelikle çalışmanın amaç ve kapsamı açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde yaşlı ve yaşlılık dönemi ile ilgili genel kavramların tanımları yapılmıştır. Yetişkin-çocuk-yaşlı ilişkileri incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde dünyadaki ve ülkemizdeki yaşlıların durumu ile ilgili demografik bilgi verilmiştir. Yurtdışında ve Türkiye’de yaşlılar için tasarlanmış mekân örnekleri incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde geleceğin yaşlıları için ideal mekân tasarımı konusunda yapılan anket çalışması ve sonuçlarına yönelik bilgi verilmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı, kapsamı, hipotezleri, yöntemi, analiz yöntemleri, araştırmaya ait bulgular anlatılmıştır. Çalışmanın son bölümü olan beşinci bölümde; elde edilen bulgular değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre, Türkiye’de yaşlılara yönelik tasarlanmış ideal mekân açığı ortaya koyulmuştur. Yaşlılık döneminin tanınması ve yaşlılar için uygun tasarımlar yapılması gerektiği düşüncesi savunulmuştur. Değerlendirmeler ve öneriler yapılmıştır.

Ideal space design for the elderly of the future is studied at this thesis. First part of this study is introduction. In the second part, the definitions of the main concepts about being old and old age is generally explained. Then, the relationship between adult-child-elderly is studied. In the third part of the thesis, the demographic informations of the elderly both in Turkey and in the world, are explained. The alternatives of space designs in different countries and in Turkey designed for the elderly are examined. In the fourth part, the questionnaire made about the ideal space design for the elderly of the future is explained and information about the results is given. Objectives, comprehensions, hypothesis, methods, analysis methods and findings of the study are explained. In the final part of the thesis, obtained findings are evaluated. According to the results of this study, the lack of ideal space design for elder people in Turkey is examined. With the help of this comprehensions, knowing about the old age and the necessity of making ideal space design for the elderly of the future is defended. Finally, evaluations and suggestions about the thesis are explained.
