Özet
Smektit kil gurubunun bir üyesi olan montmorillonit, su ile kolloidal yapıda dispersiyonlar meydana getirir. Birim hücre aralıklarında bulunan değişebilir katyonların cinsi dispersiyonların reolojik ve elektrokinetik özelliklerini belirler. Bu özelliklerin saptanması partiküller arası etkileşimlerin yorumlanmasında kullanılabilir. Çalışmanın ilk aşamasında kil numunesinin doğal ve Na aktifleştirilmiş formu mineralojik ve kimyasal açıdan karakterize edilmiş, akış özellikleri dispersiyon derecesine göre saptanmış, mobilite ve zeta potansiyeli değerlerine göre dispersiyon defoküle bir dispersiyon olarak tanımlanmıştır. Tezin deneysel kısımında; Doğal halinde Ca montmorillonit olarak tanımlanan kil ve onun Na aktif formu ile farklı katı oranlarında oluşturulan su bazlı dispersiyonların reolojik parametreleri saptanmış, akış özellikleri belirlenmiştir. %2 katı katı dispersiyonunda mobilite ve zeta potansiyeli ölçümleri yapılarak elektrokinetik yapısı, SEM analizi ile morfolojisi, XRD ve IR analizi ile mikro yapısı incelenmiştir. Kil dispersiyonuna farklı konsantrasyonlarda ilave edilen HDTABr (Heksadesiltrimethil amonyum bromür) katyonik yüzey aktifinin Na aktif montmorillonit dispersiyonlarının morfolojik, reolojik, elektrokinetik özellikleri üzerinde ne türlü etkileri olduğu gözlenmiştir.
Montmorillonite is one of the member of the smectite group of the clay which creates dispersions that colloidal structure with water. Type of exchangeable cations where between the unit cell determine the rheological and electrokinetical properties of the dispersions. Determination of the mentioned properties show that interaction degrees between the particles. In the first stage of the investigation; Natural and Na activated clay sample has been characterized by mineralogical and chemical ways, flow properties has been characterized according to degree of clay-water system. Therefore, Dispersion has been characterized as defocule due to the mobility and zeta potential experiments. In the experimental stage of the investigation; Rheological parameters have been determined of the water based dispersions which were prepared with Na activated clay form and natural clay form, which is described as Ca montmorillonite, for the different solid ratio. According to these properties flow properties were determined. In the clay-water dispersions, electrokinetic structure was determined via mobility and zeta potential measurements, morfology was determined via SEM analysis and microstructure was determined via XRD and IR analysis. In the investigation, Hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromur (HDTABr) cationic surfactant was added with different concentrations to the Na activated montmorillonite dispersions. Therefore, Effects of the cationic surfactants above the Na activated montmorillonite has been investigated.
