Mimarlıkta Toplumsal Mekân Farkındalığı Yaratmanın Çevresel Uyum Ortamı Oluşturmadaki Rolü

Abstract

Toplumsal mekân farkındalığı, çevresel uyum ortamı oluşturulması ve mimarlık bilincinin kazandırılması açısından toplumun sahip olması gereken öncelikli bir genel kültür bilgisidir. Tez çalışmasında, mimari çevrenin oluşum sürecinin her aşamasında mimarlık ve mekân kavramları toplumsal açıdan insan etkileşimi ile birlikte irdelenmiştir. Mimarlık ve mekân kavramlarının değişen dünyadaki değişken durumuna rağmen, insan odaklı olması ile birlikte toplum için önemi ele alınmıştır. Yapılan literatür araştırması ve pilot çalışmalar sonucunda farkındalık ve uyum kavramlarının mimarlık-toplum ilişkisi açısından gerekli olduğu tespit edilmiş ve bu kavramların mimari açıdan nasıl toplumla bütünleşeceği konusu kapsamında çevresel uyum ortamının oluşturulabilmesi için toplumsal mekan farkındalığı kavramının önem ve gerekliliğine dikkat çekilmiştir. Mimarlık-toplum etkileşimi için gerekli olan ve toplumda mimarlık bilincinin oluşmasını tetikleyen toplumsal mekân farkındalığının yaratılma yolları araştırılmış ve bu yollar pilot çalışma sonucu elde edilen düşünceler ile desteklenerek kuruluşlar, araçlar ve farkındalık oluşum düzeyleri olmak üzere üç başlıkta ele alınmıştır. Özetle toplumsal mekân farkındalığı yaratmanın mimarlık-insan-mekân etkileşimi bağlamında; çevresel uyum ortamı oluşturmanın en önemli yollarından birisi olduğu, bireylerin yaşadığı mekânları toplumsal olarak farkına varmalarıyla birlikte birey ile mimar ve mekân arasındaki keskin çizginin yani sınırın da ortadan kaldırılabileceği, çevresel uyum ortamı başka bir deyişle mekânsal bütünlük oluşturmada toplumsal mekân farkındalığı yaratılarak mekânın anlam kazanmasının sağlanabileceği, insanın mekânı, kendince mimari açıdan tanımlayabilmesiyle o mekânın ve anlamının bilinçli bir şekilde farkına varılabileceği, iyiyi ve kötüyü sorgulayarak seçebilme yetisinin kazandırılacağı, insanın yaşadığı mekânı farkına varmayı başarmasıyla mekânla insan arasında etkileşimin başlayacağı, insanın mimarlık ortamı ve çevre algısının genişleyeceği sonuçlarına varılmıştır.

Social space awareness is a priority for general culture information that society should acquire to create an environmental harmony and to provide a sense of architecture. In this thesis, concepts of architecture and space are dealt along with human interaction from a social perspective at every stage of creation of architectural environment. In spite of varying place of concepts of architecture and space in a changing world, their value for the society is considered together with its focus on human being. As a result of literature investigation and pilot works, the concepts of awareness and harmony are found to be necessary from the standpoint of architecture-society relation and the importance and necessity of social space awareness in order to create a setting of environmental harmony as part of the matter how these concepts will be integrated with society from architecture’s standpoint. The ways of creating a social space awareness that are required for an interaction between architecture and society and that trigger the formation of an awareness for architecture are investigated and these ways are supported with ideas obtained from a pilot study to be considered in three titles as institutions, means and levels of awareness formation. In summary, it was concluded that it is one of the most important ways of forming an environmental setting of harmony; that it is possible to eliminate the sharp line or the boundary between individual and architect and space as individuals develop a social awareness for the places where they live, that it is possible to add meaning to a space by creating a social space awareness for forming an environmental setting of harmony or in other words a spatial integrity; that human being can be aware of a space and its meaning consciously by means of defining the space of his/her own from an architectural standpoint, that an ability to discriminate between right and wrong by means of interrogating; that an interaction will start between the space and human being as he/she will achieve to be aware of the space he/she lives and that human being’s perception of architectural setting and environment will expand with respect to the interaction among architecture, human being and space to create a social space awareness.
