Abstract

Teknolojideki hızlı gelişim giderek insan hayatını kolaylaştırmaktadır. Her yeni buluş insanların günlük yaşantısına etki etmektedir. Bu teknolojik gelişmelerin en yoğun olduğu alanlardan birisi de Araç Navigasyon Sistemleridir. Araç Navigasyon Sisteminin temel amacı sürücülere seyahatleri sırasında yardımcı olmak, gitmek istedikleri yere giden en uygun güzergâhları belirlemek ve diğer yol bilgilerini sürücüye sağlamaktır. Bu çalışmada navigasyon sistemlerinde kullanılan konum belirleme sistemleri Global Positioning System-GPS, Atalet Seyir Sistemleri (Inertial Navigation System-INS) ve Loran-C sistemleri ve çalışma yapıları hakkında bilgiler, Araç Navigasyon Sistemlerinin (ANS) Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemi (CBS) ile olan ilişkisi, Sistemin temelini oluşturan jeodezik altyapı ve bileşenleri ve koordinat sistemleri hakkında temel bilgiler, Harita ve diğer bilgilerin elde ediliş ve depolanma standartlarından ve kullanıcıya gösterim kurallarından bahsedilmiştir. Son olarak da örnek bir sistem tasarımı yapılmıştır.

The people’s daily life is being easier day by day with the rapid developments in technology. Every new invention affects people’s daily life. One of the most intensive area of these technological developments is “Vehicle Navigation Systems” The main purpose of the “Vehicle Navigation systems” is to help drivers on their traveling, to determine the most optimal road and provide other information about road. This study gives information; about the positioning systems that are used in navigation systems; Global Positioning System-GPS, Inertial Navigation System-INS and Loran-C and their fundamentals, The relations between Vehicle Navigation Systems - VNS and Geographic Information Systems – GIS, And information about the geodetic infrastructure which is the fundamental of this system and coordinate systems, And, the data data collection and storing standards and representation rules of these data, And, finally the sample design is done.
