Türkiye’de İnşaat Proje Yönetiminin Yeri

Abstract

Sektörler ülke ekonomilerinin gelişiminde büyük rol oynarlar. İnşaat sektörü, diğer sektörlere göre, ekonomiye katkısı büyük olan sektörlerin başında gelmektedir. İnşaat sektörünün bu özelliği ve inşaat üretim ve faktörlerinin diğer sektörlere göre farklılık göstermesi nedeni ile, özellikle A.B.D. ’nde, inşaat sektörünün ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda, proje yönetimi önem kazanmış ve bugün artık A.B.D. inşaat proje yönetiminde ileri bir seviyeye gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada A.B.D. ’nde inşaat proje yönetiminin, eğitim programları ve sektörde ki tarihsel gelişimi ile bugünkü durumu incelenmiş ve Türkiye ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Dünya da ve Türkiye’de inşaat proje yönetiminde ki ihtiyaçlar tespit edildikten sonra, A.B.D. ‘nde inşaat proje yönetimiyle ilgili lisans programları ayrıntılı olarak incelenmiştir. Türkiye’de inşaat proje yönetimi eğitiminin mevcut durumu ortaya konmuş ve son olarak, A.B.D.‘nin inşaat proje yönetiminde ki seviyesinin yakalanması için, Türkiye’de inşaat proje yönetimiyle ilgili lisans programlarına yer verilmesi gerektiği ve bunun için, Türkiye’de bir potansiyelin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.Industry of a country carries very important roles for the country’s economical values. Construction industry is the most important branch among all other industrial branches. Because of this branch’s having crucial role for the country’s economical situation and differences in producing levels compared to the other sectors, especially in USA, the construction industry has been looking for construction managers who are qualified engineering, management and administrative skills and knowledge. Today, in USA construction management is a very important discipline. In this study, historical development and today’s situation of construction management in USA are examined and compared with Turkey. Then some studies which are about knowledge and skills for the construction management/managers compared with knowledge and skills which are the needs of Turkish construction management/managers. After that, construction management education in USA is detailed examined with accreditation councils and their criteria for construction management curriculum. Some curriculum examples of construction management programs in USA are given and construction management education in Turkey is examined. In conclusion, there is a potential in Turkey for opening undergraduate construction management programs. Undergraduate construction management programs are required to reach level of construction management education in USA.
