Fiber Optik Kablo Teknolojisi Ve Askeri Uygulamalarda Kullanımı

Abstract

Modern orduların gelecekte karşılaşacağı muharebe ortamı; komuta kontrol ve bilgi sistemleri açısından günümüzdekinden çok daha ileri teknolojiye sahip ve çok daha uzun menzilli sistemlerden meydana geleceği değerlendirilmektedir. Teknolojideki gelişmeler ve bunların bilgi harbine yansımaları taktik ve teknikleri etkileyecek boyuttadır. Bilgi teknolojileri ile askeri birliklerin gerçeğe yakın bir zamanda bilgi toplama, işleme, saklama ve yayma yeteneği önemli ölçüde artmıştır. Teknoloji, birliklerin daha geniş bir alana yayılmasına imkan vermekle birlikte güvenli veri iletimi ve kesintisiz haberleşme ihtiyacını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu nedenle haberleşme ve elektronik sistemlerin etkinliğini kaybetmemesi için güvenli ve kesintisiz haberleşmeyi garanti edecek sistemler kullanılmalıdır. Bu gün kullanılan teknolojiler içerisinde, eşdeğerleri olan metal iletkenli kablolara göre üstün bir performans sergileyen fiber optik kablo teknolojisi EMI, RFI, EMPden etkilenmeden güvenli ve çok süratli veri iletimi, yüksek kalitede haberleşme ve daha birçok üstün özelliği sayesinde stratejik askeri haberleşmeden mobil sistemlere (uçak, helikopter, tank, gemi, uydu gibi) kadar birçok alanda askerlere hizmet vermekte olup daha uzun yıllar düşük yoğunluklu çatışmadan nükleer silahların da kullanılacağı yüksek yoğunluklu çatışmaya kadar geçerliliğini ve güvenirliliğini devam ettireceği değerlendirilmektedir. Bu çalışmada Fiber Optik Kablo Teknolojisinin (FOKT) teknik ayrıntıları verilmiş olup, FOKT bakımından genel anlamda kullanılacak tasarım özellikleri tanıtılmıştır. Ayrıca askeri uygulamalar bakımından güvenli haberleşmenin önemi vurgulanarak FOKTnin askeri uygulamalarda sağlayacağı avantajlar yorumları ile birlikte sunulmuştur.

Its considered that the combat enviroment that the modern armies will face in the future will have long range command control and info systems for better than that of today’s. The technological devolopments and its reflections to the info warfare will have tactical and technical aspects. With the help of info technologies the military forces will have the oppurtunity to gather, store, process and share the information in the real time. Although technologies provides the combat units to expand in a wide area the need for secure and continous info arises. In order to have an effective communication and electronic systems we need to ensure secure and continous communication systems. The fiber optic technology used today presents a very high performance when compared other conducting cables. This technology not affected by EMI, RFI, EMP which has the charecteristics of secure, a high quality rate of rapid data transfer, will serve from strategic military communications to mobile systems (plane, chopper,tank, ship, satellite etc.). It’s considered that FOCT will be used securly for a long time in differrent combat enviroments changing from high-density conflicts involving the use of NBC weapons to low-density conflicts. This theses, explains the technical details of fiber optic cable technologies (FOCT) used in general. In addition it emphasizes the importence of secure communication in military applications. It also presentedthe advantages of FOCT together with my comments.
