Kurumsal Kaynak Planlamasında Başarı Faktörleri

Abstract

Günümüzde artan rekabet koşullarında işletmeler müşteri beklenti ve ihtiyaçlarını en iyi şekilde karşılamak zorundadırlar. Bunu sağlayabilmek için gereken yüksek kalite, düşük maliyet ve müşteri ihtiyaçlarını hızlı bir şekilde karşılamak ise kurumsal kaynak planlaması (ERP) ile mümkündür. Bu çalışmada ERP başarı faktörleri üzerinde durulmuş ve bir anket çalışması ile ERP uygulamasında başarılı olmuş işletmelerin yapısal özellikleri, ERP programlarının özellikleri, program seçiminde dikkat ettikleri kriterler, ERP sonrasında yaşadıkları değişimler ve ERP uygulamasında başarılı olmalarını sağlayan faktörler araştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, firmaların ERP programı seçerken dikkate aldıkları en önemli kriterler; sistem ve veri güvenliği, programın işlevselliği, firma işlemlerine uyarlanabilirlik, geliştirilmeye müsait olması, firmanın iş süreçlerini desteklemesi şeklinde bulunmuştur. ERP sonrası en çok iyileşme yaşanan unsurlar ise; firmada bölümler arasındaki entegrasyon, firmada kullanılan teknolojiler tek platformda birleştirilmesi ve standartlaşmanın sağlanması, iş takibi ve verilerin karar verme sürecinde kullanabilirliliği, dokümantasyonun ve raporlamanın düzenli yapılması, planlama ve karar alma süreçlerinin süresi şeklinde bulunmuştur. Üst yönetimin gerekli desteği vermesi, ERP sistemi seçimi sürecinde ihtiyaçların iyi tespit edilmiş olması, firmadaki projeden sorumlu ekibinin yeterliliği, departmanlar arasında sağlanan işbirliği ve seçilen ERP sisteminin firma yapısına ve süreçlerine uygun olması faktörleri ERP başarısını en çok etkileyen faktörler olarak bulunmuştur.

Nowadays, there is a tough competition among companies. Hence, companies must be able to meet their customers’ expectation and needs satisfactorily. Because of these requirements, companies need to achieve high quality and low cost and must respond their customers’ needs readily. This is why companies should adopt enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The aim of this study is to determine success factors for ERP implementations. For this purpose, we surveyed companies that have been successful in ERP implementation by sending out a questionnaire. We analyzed the company characteristics and their ERP program features. Companies regard some criteria when they choose an ERP program. On the other hand, after ERP implementation some of factors can change in companies. We aimed to determine these factors. The results of our survey show that systems and data security, functionality of program, adaptable for firm’s process, suitable for upgrade, supporting firm’s work process are the most important criteria for companies in choosing their ERP programs. After ERP implementations, some of the factors have improved better than others by the ERP system. These factors are integration between all departments, coordination and standardization of all technologies, following work and using data when making decision, systematic documentation and reporting, time of decision making. Top management support, determining firm’s needs perfectly before choosing ERP program, ERP Project team’s sufficiency, cooperation of all departments, suitable ERP program for firm’s features and work process are the most important factors for ERP success.
