Kentte Ekolojik Olay Algısı: İşitselleştirmeye Dayalı Bir Kentsel Tasarım Aracı Önerisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, kent ve fiziksel çevrede tasarım ve müdahale için bir araç çerçevesi önerilmektedir. Günümüzde kentleşmenin getirdiği sorunların artmasına karşın, kentlerin daha iyi analiz edilebildiği, tasarlandığı veya bilinebildiği söylenemez. Bu durumun nedenlerinden biri kentlerin geçirdiği niteliksel değişimlerdir: hareketlilik gibi yeni boyutların da analize girmesi gerekmektedir. İkinci neden bu yeni değişimleri ele alabilecek araçların eksikliği olabilir. Bu çalışma genelde, varolan tasarım ve planlama araçlarının eksikliklerini ekolojik algı ilkeleri ile tamamlayarak bir kavramsal çerçeve kurgulamaktadır. Özelde ise, kendi-kendine beliren olaylara ilişkin bu çerçeveyle kentsel hareketliliği izleyebilecek, analiz edebilecek ve olası müdahalelere olanak sağlayacak bir araç önermektedir. Granül sentezi tekniğine dayalı bir işitselleştirme aracının, kentsel hareketlilik aktivitelerinin tanımında ekolojik bir algı çerçevesi oluşturabilecek potansiyele sahip olduğu gösterilmektedir. Önerilen araç için kurgulanan çerçevenin çeşitli bölümleri, gerçekleştirilen kısmi uygulamalar ile denenmiştir.

In this study, the framework for a tool is proposed for design and intervention in the city and the physical environment. Despite the increase in problems as a result of contemporary urbanization, it is not possible to state that cities are better analyzed, designed or known. One of the reasons of this condition is the qualitative change in the urban realm: new dimensions such as mobility has to be included in the analysis. The second reason could be the insufficiency on behalf of the tools to address these new changes. In general, this study constructs a conceptual framework for complementing the insufficiencies of existing design and planning tools with principles of ecological perception. In specific, starting with the framework of emergent events, a tool is proposed that can trace, analyze and provide the means for possible interventions regarding urban mobility. A sonification tool based on the technique of granular synthesis is shown to exhibit potential for constructing an ecological framework for the recognition of urban mobility. Parts of the proposed tool framework have been tested with a series of realized partial applications.
