dc.description.abstract Movement is a constant rule of the universe. Everything takes its shape by movements and nothing in the universe can stand same and they all have constantly changing. Change is a ceaseless action of everything. Sometimes these changes can be slow that can be observed and sometimes they can be fast, that cannot be perceived by the senses and the mind. Independently from their speed, matter has always a temporary time dimension, which recreates it something new and evaluate its own existence. Matter, provide its reality according to these transformations of the movements among the duration in the time dimension and gather its own meaning. The nature between matter and movement make us consider that architectural space must be evaluated according to this rule. In the thesis of “INSTANT SPACE DESIGN BY THE EXPERIENCE OF MOVEMENTS”, it is aimed to investigate the clues of the alternative design to the conventional static architectural design over examples, which can interact and transforms with the user-space behaviors depending on movements. In that approach, in the first and the entering section, it is aimed to present what is the purpose of the thesis and how the thesis will investigate the movement experience and instant space design relationship. The diagrams will lead the further understanding of the approach and the flow charts of the next sections. In the second section, it is aimed to investigate and emphasize contrasting ideas and perspectives about movement over movement-time-space relationships in science and philosophy. The discussion is set over physical concepts of movement in the science and its critics in the philosophy that focuses the core of the movement and bodily experience. It is aimed to compose the different perspective from their own inferences. For that approach, first the “the movement” issue tried to be investigated over body experience and senses. It is tried to understand what are the limits and the cooperation of the body senses on movement and how they react in the variety of the circumstances. After than, movement issue is investigated over physical explanation and the perspective of science on movement. The abstraction of the movement on physics has criticized over some philosophical perspective of view. The discussion continued by hybrid perspective of a view of all these ideas and phenomenon. The hybrid view of movement is explained over some parameters and the interactions. It has been identified “time and duration”, “speed” and “relativity” for parameters and “change”, “memory” for the interactions to understand movement phenomenon. There has been a hybrid understanding of movement phenomenon is tired to be constituted by that parameters and interactions. In the following part, the discussion of space-movement is continued by interrogation of the integral of movement concepts and they used to constitute the basis of the movement-space idea over experimental space studies. In that manner, the example of the experimental spaces are considered over the concept of integrated idea of movement-space. For that aim, eight examples are found in nature and artificial world. The examples are investigated over the parameters and the interactions that has been found in the previous chapter. Beside, there has been new features of the examples are also mention to use them in the next part. The movement and its nature is observed from the philosophy and the physics of the examples.  The eight examples are listed below with parameters they are investigated over: • H2O Pavilion • The Space Experience of Music • The Maze Runners Movie and Experience of Mazes • Jamiroquai “Virtual Insanity” Music Video’s Experience Space • The Water Wave Experiential Space, Video Games Space • Skateboarders Space Experience • Journey Experience In the last part, a sample movement-space project is tried to be created. In the project, it is aimed to create flexible borders depend on transient movement-space, depending on the ideas which are created and examined in the previous parts. In that project, the borders of the space are constantly regenerating itself by the movements of the user and it is aimed to create and experimental space which is open and unlimited geometrical opportunities that are not limited by the status of the building. By that approach, it is aimed to create the basis of the more fluid space understanding and the potential of that space on designing and space-user relations. The understanding and the hybrid concept of movement rules are tried to used in that project. For that aim the project is designed over four sub-section. Conceptual design ideas, application proposal, general spatial features and working principles, the limitations of the projects. In the conceptual design ideas part, the project is conceptually explained over the parameters and interactions, which is described in the previous chapters. In the application proposal part, the project is described over diagrams and the project working principles. The diagrams shows how the project can be applicable due to the rules from the conceptual ideas part. In the spatial features part and working principles part, it has been aimed to explain how the building interacts with the user and how it can rebuild itself due to the experience of movement. In the limitations and the section conclusion part, it has been explained what are the constraints of the project and what can be possible to solve them due to the science and technological discoveries.  The conclusion section is an overall assessment of the previous arguments and sample project. The subjects which discussed in this previous parts wrap up over the limits and potential of the "instant space". It is focused on what are the requirements for the development of the project. At the same time, it is researched the relationship between instant space and experiential architecture which is created on immaterial basis. Conceptual design principles are investigated for the development of instant space. For that aim, first it is explained how the thesis statement is evaluated from the early workings. Moreover, it is aimed to make conclusions from the previous parts and the connection between the parts are explained. Due to the conclusion, the “instant space” depend on these principles: Every unit of a space must have same properties to sustain movement in the space from the smallest to biggest. Every movement in the space must have complete without any interruptions and the main system must have turn the initial structural condition but the information must have evolve after that movement. (Rubik Cube is a nice example to understand that because it makes movements but every movement change its own information meaning.) To achieve freedom on every movement, every unit of the space must have a memory and simple consciousness to decide their tendency. The system must be an open system (instead of closed system) which is created by the units that can freely move. From all these principles, it can easily be stated that the existence of “instant space” is depended on the freedom of the movement of the everything, which creates the space. Finally the works on this thesis has been driven by the curiosity, which are consciously or unconsciously perceived and intuitively recognized, and the aim of creating a debate over concepts, contexts, situations, perspectives and examples to synthesize mind and intuition. For that reason, it has been aimed to understand and investigate the  movement phenomenon from different perspectives and examples. It has been tried to describe a new space definition, which is called “instant space”.  The abstract project of “instant space”   depends to all these principles and understandings form previous sections.  The abstract project of “instant space”   is described as a project, which can be any project that fits the definitions in the conceptual and contextual ideas.   In that thesis, it is aimed to create and design a framework with the “instant space” project.   By that way, it is believed that “instant space” can reform itself anytime by the changing perception of the time, science and technology. en_US
