A model proposal using big data for external stakeholder management in the construction industry

Abstract

This thesis focuses on stakeholder management in construction projects. It first defines the gap in research in this area, stating the neglect shown to external stakeholders. It discusses the incapability to effectively reach and communicate with external stakeholders. Concluding that stakeholder dissatisfaction results in project failures, the thesis delves into looking for solutions for inclusive external stakeholder management. It resolves that external stakeholder management can be improved by using Industry 4.0 technologies, such as big data.
