Boğaziçi İskele Meydanları-anadolukavağı Ve Rumelikavağı Meydanlarının Rekreasyonel Potansiyellerinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma; İstanbul metropolü için önemli bir yeşil alan potansiyeline sahip Boğaziçi iskele meydanlarının rekreasyonel potansiyellerinin incelenerek bugünkü kullanımlarını belirlemek, kent içi ulaşım sistemine ettiği hizmetle birlikte kent peyzajına katkısını vurgulamak ve ortaya çıkan sorunlara peyzaj mimarlığı yönünden çözüm ve öneriler getirmek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Boğaziçi iskele meydanları; tüm İstanbul kenti içindeki rekreasyonel potansiyelleri açısından, mevcut durum ve ulaşım sistemi de göz önünde bulundurularak incelenmiş, bu amaçla yapılan iskele meydanlarına ait arazi çalışmaları, imar planları ve orto-foto haritaları ile her iskele meydanı için ayrı olarak mevcut durumu üzerinde analiz çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Ayrıca, Boğaziçi iskele meydanlarına ait yapılan literatür çalışmaları ile geçmişten günümüze kadarki süreçte bu mekanların fiziksel, işlevsel, sosyal ve rekreasyonel değişimleri incelenmiştir. Boğaziçi iskele meydanlarından “Anadolukavağı Ve Rumelikavağı İskele Meydanları” araştırma alanı olarak seçilerek, bu kriterlerin incelenmesine yönelik bir anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Anket sonuçlarını literatürdeki çalışmalarla karşılaştırdığımızda, Boğaziçi iskele meydanlarının rekreatif aktivitelerin gerçekleştirildiği bir açıkhava rekreasyon alanı olarak kent peyzajına katkısının; bu meydanların sahip olduğu rekreasyon potansiyeli ile ilişkili olduğu kadar, kullanıcıların ihtiyaçları ve istekleri doğrultusunda düzenlenmiş olması ile de yakından ilgili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kültürel, tarihi, ticari ve ulaşım fonksiyonlarının yanı sıra halkın rekreasyonel gereksinimlerinin de karşılanmasında önemli işleve sahip bu meydanların, eksiklikler giderilerek toplumun ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda, yeniden kentin peyzaj dokusuna kazandırılması gerekliliği ortaya konmuştur.

This study was conducted in order to investigate the recreational potential of the quay squares of Bosphorus, which have important green areas potential for the Istanbul metropolis, to determine their current level of use, to point out their contribution with their services provided to the urban transportation system, and to offer landscape-related solutions and recommendations to the present problems. Within the context of this study, the quay squares of Bosphorus were investigated with regard to their recreational potentials for the entire city of Istanbul, taking into consideration the current condition and the transportation system, and for this purpose, the present situation of each quay square was analyzed separately using the territorial studies, development plans, and ortho-photo maps. Moreover, the physical, functional, social, and recreational changes of these spaces from the past until today were examined using literature studies for these quay squares. Among the quay squares of Bosphorus, the Anadolukavagı and Rumelikavagı Quay Squares were selected as research areas, and a survey to investigate these criteria was conducted. When we compared the results of the survey with the literature studies, we found out that the contribution of the Bosphorus quay squares as an open-air recreational area where recreational activities are performed is both related to the recreational potential of the said areas, as well as their arrangement according to the needs and requests of the users. In addition to their cultural, historical, commercial, and transportation functions, these squares have an important role in meeting the recreational needs of the public, and it is essential that any shortcomings will be eliminated, and these spaces will be included in the urban landscape based on the needs of the public.
