Siparişe Göre Üretim Yapan Sistemlerde Yalın Üretim Uygulamaları

Abstract

Toyota üretim sistemi, stoksuz üretim yahut tam zamanında üretim olarak da bilinen ve en genel kullanımı “yalın üretim” olan üretim sistemi, 1980’lerin başından itibaren daima revaçta ve göz önünde olan bir üretim sistemidir. Pek çok firmanın yalın üretim ile bambaşka bir çehreye bürünerek başarı sağlaması, diğer firmaların da yalın üretime geçme konusundaki cesaretini arttırmaktadır. Yalın üretim sistemlerinin daha çok talebin düzenli ve yüksek, ürün çeşitliliğinin az olduğu akış tipi üretim sistemlerinde uygulandığı görülmüştür. Bu durum akıllara tam tersi bir üretim karakteristiğine sahip işletmelerde yalın üretimin uygulanıp uygulanamayacağı sorusunu getirmektedir. Bu çalışmada, siparişe göre üretim yapan sistemlerde yalın üretimin ve tekniklerinin uygulanabilirliği araştırılacak; siparişe göre üretim yapmakta olan bir firmada uygulama çalışması yapılacaktır.

Lean manufacturing is mainly inspired by the Toyota Production System which has been focused on elimination of waste and improving customer satisfaction. Lean manufacturing is a set of principles, philosophies and business processes to enable the implementation of it, which is widely known and implemented since 1980. The success of numerous companies thanks to lean manufacturing encourages other companies to start lean manufacturing. It can be observed that lean manufacturing is generally applied in make-to-stock production systems and flow shop systems where diversity of product is low and the demand is high and regular. The applicability of lean manufacturing in the companies with opposite production characteristic is called into question. In this work, the applicability of lean manufacturing techniques and practices in make-to-order production systems and job shop production is studied and these practices are applied on a company that make-to-order production.
