Bursa İli Gemlik İlçesi Umurbey Beldesi’nde Tarihi Çevre Koruma Önerisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Bursa İli, Gemlik İlçesi’ne bağlı Umurbey Beldesi için tarihi çevre koruma önerisi getirilmiştir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, yerleşimin genel tanımlaması yapılmış, tarihi gelişimi incelenmiş, kent dokusu analiz edilerek genel karakterleri belirlenmiştir. Kentsel Sit Alanı’nı oluşturan tarihi değerler ve konutlar incelenip, mimari elemanlar hakkında tipolojik çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Tez çalışmasının ikinci aşamasında, yapılan imar planları irdelenerek eksiklikleri belirlenmiştir. Tüm bu veriler doğrultusunda, koruma amaçlı imar planı için revizyon önerisi geliştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın son safhasında Çarşı Meydanı ve çevresi için sıhhileştirme, düzenleme projesi hazırlanmıştır. Öneri oluşturulmadan, alanın ve alan içindeki yapıların, geçirdiği değişimler ve mevcut sorunları saptanmıştır. Öneride yapıların sağlamlaştırılması niteliksiz eklerin temizlenmesi ya da düzenlenmesi gibi tarihi değerli yapılara müdahalelerin yanı sıra çevreye aykırı yeni yapıların cephelerinin düzenlenmesi, çatılarının kaplanması gibi uygulamalara yer verilerek uyumlu bir çevre yaratmak hedeflenmiştir.

In this study a conservation project is proposed for the historical district in town of Umurbey, Gemlik, Bursa. With this aim, the town is defined generally, a research for the historical evolution of the area has been completed, texture of the city is analyzed and as a conclusion the characteristics of the settlement has been defined. Natural, structural values and the houses of the site is scrutinize, a typology or the architectural elements was studied. Previous plannings of the site were discussed in the second phase of the study. And revision of the valid planning is proposed. In the last part of the study, conservation project is planned for Çarşı Square and its surrounding. Before the decision making, the physical changes and the existing problems of the environment and the buildings were defined. The content of the project was improving the structural condition of the traditional houses, taking out the supplementary pieces. Modern buildings which were creating a massive effect in the environment were also taken into consideration for the proposal. By covering the roofs or reorganizing the facades of these buildings, a harmony was tried to be created.
