| tr_TR |
dc.description.abstract | In this study solution of incompressible, steady state fluid flow problems by using primitive variables and finite volume method on unstructered grids is investigated. SIMPLE algorithm is used for the computation of pressure and velocities. Convection-Diffusion problem is solved as a beginning in order to determine the differences between unstructered and structured grids. It is seen that the results of the computations are getting closer for the structered and unstructered grids as the number of the control volumes increases. Lid-Driven Cavity and Backward Facing Step problems are solved for the test of the discretization on fluid flow problems. It is seen that results of the computations that are done with the unstructured grids are getting closer to the results of computations with structured grids. On the other hand, correction step enhances the convergency at high Reynolds numbers. It is determined that SIMPLE algorithm can be used for engineering computations but the accuracy for the scientific computations is not sufficient. | en_US |
