dc.description.abstract In this study, the central part of the North Anatolian Fault in the east Ladik/Amasya and in the west Ilgaz/Kastamonu regions have been analyzed for the determination of tectonic activity using geodetic methods. A geodetic network covering the region has been established and measured annually for four years with GPS (Global Positioning System). The obtained results are modeled by DEFNODE Software. In addition, the activity of the area of interest was examined by InSAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry) technique using SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) images covering both east and west sites of region. The velocity differences between north and south of the area were computed. In this region, it is calculated that the splays of the North Anatolian Fault moved slower and had lower strain accumulation according to the main branch. en_US
