Cumhuriyet Dönemi Türkiye’sinde Kadının Değişen Rolünün Konut Kullanımına Yansıması

Abstract

Bu çalışma kapsamında varolan kadın sorununa mimarlık penceresinden bakılmaktadır. 21. yüzyılın yaşandığı bu günlerde hala sıcaklığını yitirmeyen bu problemin mimari açıdan da ele alınmasının bir gereklilik olduğu düşünülerek Türk kadın için bir dönüm noktası olan Cumhuriyetten günümüze kadar geçen süre içinde kadının değişimi ele alınmıştır. Bu evrede, kadın değiştikçe yüzyıllardır etkileşim içinde olduğu ve özdeşleştirildiği konutunu da değiştirmiştir. Bu nedenle tez kapsamında değişen kişi olarak kadın, değiştirdiği çevre olarak konut seçilmiş ve bu değişimler Cumhuriyet Dönemi içinde ele alınmıştır. Kadının eğitim durumu, çalışma yaşamına girişi gibi kadının değişimine yol açan ana etmenlerin yanı sıra, mimari alanda yaşanan değişimler de ele alınmıştır. Cumhuriyet Dönemi içinde uygulanmış bazı konut tasarımları seçilerek yapıldıkları dönemlere göre sınıflandırılmış ve bir analiz yapılmıştır. Yapılan literatür çalışmasıyla da desteklenen bu tez, kadının sosyolojik değişiminin konut kullanımını da değiştirdiğini ortaya koymaktadır.

This study examines existing women’s problematic from an architectural point of view. Women’s issues still maintain their relevance at present during the 21. century. In this thesis, the change of the role of women in society is being examined, covering an era from the early republican period as a turning point until today. In this very era, parallel to the changing role of women, the houses that women interacted and got identified with underwent a change as well. Therefore, this thesis focuses on women as the changing agent and the house as the environment she reflected herself during the republican period of Turkey. Some factors, which cause to woman changing, such as women’s education situation, entering to work places are examined. At the same time, architectural changes in Republic Period are examined too. In Republic Period some house designs were selected which are constructed and classified as their built time, then these designs were analyzed. This thesis shows that woman’s sociological changing is reflecting house use and this idea supported with literatures.
