Özet
Tezim, uzun zamandan beri benim düşüncelerimde yer tutan, yaşamdaki ve mekandaki geçişlerin ortaklıkları üzerine gelişen bir deneme oldu. insanların yaşamı, zaman dilimlerinin en küçüğü olan "anlarda kaydedilerek ilerler. Mekanın ve insanın bu öncesiz ve sonrasız zaman tüneli içindeki yaşamında en küçük zaman birimi, kalınlığını bizim belirlediğimiz değişken uzunluktaki "anlardır, insanın, içinde yaşarken, mekanın her an belli bölümlerini görsel olarak çerçeveler ve bu çerçevelerin içindekiler, insanın zihnindekilerle etkileşime girer. İnsanın bilinçaltı ve bilinçüstü çağrışımlarıyla bu çerçevenin ardı bazı imgelerle dolar ve prizmalar oluşur. Bunların tümü de mekanı oluşturur. An üzerine düşünülürse, birçok şeyin esası olduğu sonucu çıkarılabilir. Yaşam üzerine her ne varsa anlarla kaydedilir. Dilimlerin, birbirine dönüştüğü yerlerde de sınırlar, eşikler vardır. Bir an önceki ile bir sonrakinin buluştuğu yerlerdir eşikler, birbirine dönüşmeye başladığı yerler... Mekan ve zaman iki ayrı fakat birbirinin içinde ilerleyen süreçlerdir; ve bir kişinin o mekandaki yaşamı gerçek olduktan sonra, yaşadığı zaman ve mekan artık birbirinden ayrılmaz şekilde, iç içe geçmiş bir bütün, bir yol, iz oluşturmuşlardır; zaman ve zihinde. Evren ve onun yaşamı bir bütündür; Ve- insanların bütün mekanlarda yer alışında seçtiği "yollar bütünü, insanın evrende hayatı ile oluşturduğu ize,(yola). dönüşür. Bu yolculukta karşılaşılanlar,, eşikler, tüneller, labirentler ve adalardır. Sonuç olarak insanın yaşam çizgisi ile mekanın yaşam çizgisi kesişince zaman boyutunda anlar, mekan boyutunda da prizmalar ortaya çıkar ve bunların biraraya gelerek birikimi sonucunda, zamanın ilerlemesi ile, yaşam çizgileri oluşur. Zamanın içindeki bu devinim sürekli bir hazırlığa benzer. Hiç bitmeyen, almanlar, bırakılanlar, bir sonraki mekana, olaya, zamana taşınanlar. Evren ve zaman içinde etkileşim halinde bulunan şeylerin birbirlerinde yarattığı sonuçları, tahmin etmek olası değil. Tasarlama eylemi içinde bulunanlar, yapma eylemi içinde bulunanlardan çok farklı olarak; ( mekan, zaman içindeki ) " yer" in özelliklerini duyumsar ve onun yorumuna bir anlam katarlar. Mimari yaratı üzerinde iz bırakılabilen bir tasarımdır ve bu izlerin taşınabildiği... Yaratıcılığa olan ihtiyaç, işlevsel ihtiyaçların katkısından öte bir "şey" e ihtiyaç olduğunu belirtir. Sonuç olarak her tür değişimin küçük hareketlerle olabileceği, sloganların ve indirgemeci tavırların yüzeysellikleri dolayısı ile yaratıcı etkileşimlere engel olduğu hissedilmen. /Etkileyici, yaratıcılık hissi uyandıran, düşündüren ve duyumsanarak yapıldığı hissedilen mekanların, basit, sade, kişisel ve arınmış olduğunu düşünüyorum. Geçişler, eşikler ve izler üzerinde düşünülmüşlüğün, onlara dair fikirlerle yoğrulmuşluğun, duyumsama ve yaratıcı fikirlerin yansıması sonucu olan tasarımların mutlaka başka yorumlarla diğer zihinlere, yerlere kaydedileceği ve yaşamaya başlayıp yeni yaratıcı fikirlere yol vereceği varsayılmaktadır.
There is big continuity and unity in the lives of the space and the human. We can call this relation to be an adventure, that consists of forming, transforming, reforming... The lives of human continues by being recorded in every smallest piece of time, that rs "instant". The instants that we live are, the sections of life, time, space having different lengths. If in an instant, a life of human intersects with a life of space; there occurs the pieces of space in mind, the slices, we can call. The humar» has the frame of the space, when living in it with instants. Then the things in that frame is transformed by the conscious and unconscious associations that is present in our brains. Then the view in that frame transforms into a prism having comments we formed. So wer can say that the frames that we form in instants, transforms into a prism, that are full of our comments. And that these prisms together reform the spaces in our lives. The spaces come to be the ground of our lives. The slices are the membranes that have different thicknesses The instant is a piece of time that is defined but is a product of our comments on what we live. The instant is the piece of transition that connects the passed and welcomed instants and forms the whole life. There exists the edges between the instants. There is edges in between the transfer of the slices in to another. The edges, the thresholds are the connections and intersections at the same time of our lives. We confront to new things and intersect with others... To go back in the time tunnel is impossible, because we see the time flux in one direction from standpoint of human in the universe. The tilings that are lived are unseperatebly connected. Every life experience is recorded in the brain and we can have new experiences of the same space. But not the first. To be able to go back in the time, we have to be able to go back in space and the vice versa. But we know both are impossible, because there are tracks left already in the brains, in the space and in the time tunnel. So the tracks are all we leave behind. IX In the time tunnel all the slices come on another, forming small tunnels and small tunnels come on another, forming the big unity. The universe and its life is a unity, having a system of pieces, which are related, effected, reflected to each other. Like the points coming together to form a line, spaces of lives come together to form the lifeline. To define a line we need infinite points. To have a point we need at least two lines, intersecting. And if we have a point, then infinite lines can pass through that point I thing this relation worth to thing about, in the way that reveals the uncertainty, unseperatably constructed unity. I feel that there is the same relation in every peace of universe. The relation of space and the line of human life is the similar. The life line is formed of spaces and the spaces in mind is formed of the prisms. To have this prisms, the life of a space should intersect with a life of human. After the prisms composed, these prisms needs to produce new associations, transformations and spaces in minds. Time is composed of instant having different lengths, as we told before. The instant are formed by the intersection of the time a space with the time of a human. And the instant coming one over another, form the life of human, which is the definition of time, limited by human. As a result, when the line of human life intersects with the line of space life, there becomes the prisms in space dimension, there becomes the instants in time dimension. The prisms and the instants of our comments comes together to form our life tunnels, lines, tracks in the universe. The space is connected to the ideas of designers of it the livers of it in the trans formation of its life. The human is effected with the space, time, atmosphere in his forming of life, but he is ttreone to clarify, define, choose, decide, comment on. So, life is a track, tunnel, meaning the transition of human through the time and space in the universe. The things men give and take, the transformations made together forms a sequence of thresholds. And the tracks of connections of men between the "wills" and the "lived things" are the transitions forming through the both ends of life. The tracks of transition are scratched on both the life of spaces and the life of human In the big tunnel time, every thing is in relation, leaving tracks on each other. This movement in time is like a continuos preparation. Never ending wills, taken and given things, carried tracks to other spaces and times. The thresholds forming the life are also, having different thicknesses like that of instants. We have thresholds of physical and mental and can say that every prism and instant is a piece of these thresholds. Every transition have two ends. The beginning and ending. The thresholds are formed in these points of the transitions. We may say that everything present, designed or done are having a transition, means participating in the big tunnel, transition. Everything occurs in between the thresholds seen or unseen. So every thing participating in this tunnel begins a life that we may call a travel. The travel of men in the tunnel oscillates between the situations of transformation, intersection, connection, reformation, confrontation.... The thing that men paces in this travel are the thresholds, tunnels, labyrinths, islands... This travel brings new ideas, comments, results, relations. The transitions are, as we said, in between two ends are recorded to life of everything in relation. Every thing present, is a record of something, an idea, an emotion, a relation.... Record as a result of a comment of those.... The tunnels in between the contrasts is the thing to be thought on. Everything that is present in universe, seen or unseen has an effect that is reflected to others. But we sometimes may not know, what these effects may conclude. Maybe we can guess some of it The tunnels In tunnels we live in and there are the changes of dimensions, such as time, space, mind and emotion. The condition of being is a result of relation in to some other. Everything we feel, see, hear, sense, thing are as a result of a confrontation. To meet, to confront, to intersect.... There begins the mental and physical travels. And in these travels there comes the ideas, comments and creative thought reactions. The tunnels of every space or of every human is unique. So the tracks they left behind in minds and other spaces are also unique. Trie thing designed or made alive should b&reformable; means should "read" again by comment But the reading of personal "writings" leads to creative thought mostly. Of course to be able to make comment depends on the way the mind thinks, If the mind has the aim to reconstruct his owns about every righting, then every righting is commendable and leads to creative reaction. The word wrighting here is used in the meaning of every thing decided, designed, constructed. And the word reading is not in the meaning of understanding, learning something; but in the meaning of reconstructing by our own comments. A reader is a constructed Every thing done, constructed, given life in this tunnel is a reflection of an idea. So we may say that all are the subject of design. The designed things are left to have relations in the tunnel. This relation may be foreseen a little but not controlled. So the things designed will begin to live lives not fully finished or frozen. They will leave tracks in the intersecting relations. But if the designs are of slogans or of superficial way of looking's, then the tracks will be of waste. I think every life, the life of space and the life of human is leaving one thing behind. That is tracks. So track-formation interests me much. A city is a piece of sequence of scenes that have the lives taking place on. The tracks being uncontrollable reveals the unforeseen dimension of universe, which is another dimension that gives way to creative reaction. But the question we may ask, when the limits of uncontrollability begins. We may not decide this, but I think this limit is not where the design finishes. Because I feel that the design senses are giving way to many things that the design will live. » For example the antique cities are transformed by many effects and we face them now, in this time and space of the tunnel. But the sense of "being there", is so strong and reflected to us continuously that we feel creative reactions beginning. A novel is constructed by two sides, a writer and a reader. The reader reconstructs it when reading. But the space is constructed by designer and by many livers at the same time. Every thing created is reconstructed in every new reading. But the difference between the other designed things and the space is that the reconstructions of it, is reflected to other livers by the tracks left. So the space is the design that the tracks are carried on it transforming it. Far beyond the functional needs there is a need to creativity. Both for the nature of space and the nature of man mind. Even after the decay of physical space, we can not call that this is fully disappeared. Because there are tracks of it left, scratched somewhere. So by taking place in time tunnel, everything lives different transitions. These maybe composed of thresholds, labyrinths and islands. The islands are an element of travel in time, the labyrinths are the elements of the travel of thoughts, made by associations. These travels, and other travels (physical, mental, emotional) are the chances of birth of new ideas Alt the spaces desigrv are- the- grounds; ttrat are given to livers tafornr their life lines on. So I believe that the main aim when constructing the tunnels in tunnels is to design things (space, idea, toys...) that will lead to creative reactions. The designer should have the feeling of these tracks, thresholds, labyrinths and the transitions. The universe is a big system of reflection, relation, transformation, reformation, as we told before. Our all designs, mean the system we construct, are in relation to the system of universe. Universe is also a system that has the energy of its first formation. And the system of universe does not know, what the future will be. We can sense this undefined going when we remember the ability of thinking, given to human, apriori. Because the ability of thinking has a going of undefined. Maybe in this undefined big transition, we may think of, where the ability of thought is first used to create something consciously. The human's creativity begins first with criticising, the existing system, producing alternatives and constructing them. The way of looking to see the other realities, behind the scene realities is the beginning of the creative thought But it is important to see that the system designed by human is not out of the context of the other system present in the universe. So the systems present and designed are all in transition, effecting each other. If the system of universe has left every movement to system of human that the life on earth will have been destroyed already. XU After a big transition of human, left behind, today in this point of space and time in the universe, we confront new transitions in transitions. As a result of this standpoint in time and space, people have the aim to look superficially and to grasp everything at once. To own everything without living or making comment on seems to be possible. The easily made conclusions and the easily owned superficial knowledges are reflected to human and their life scenes as the images... As a result of superficiality we come across, the design things and their reflections on the livers of it, lead to a world of metas. Every design is an object of pointing, giving, telling, teaching something. But to feel or have creative reactions of thinking we need The transitions we live transforms us and the transitions we live, transforms the spaces. So the transition that we live in will carry our tracks to unknown times, minds, lives and spaces. I belive that the designs should be purified from superficiality and the slogans. The designs that are having senseability and giving the sense of creativity are of simple and purified, personal and immense. In design, being aware of this transition, transformation, reflection of things and to sense these is very important. And also I think that a design of anything, having a sensibility and idea-ology of these things mentioned above, will give life to other meaningful relations and creative thoughts in minds, having a transition.
