| tr_TR |
dc.description.abstract | From the studies as the content of this thesis, the loads coming from the bridge abutments have been affected as point load and distributed load, and it has been observed that the stresses on the same plane were conveyed evenly. In addition, as a result of the graphs, it has become clear that even though low amount of deformations were observed with 10 cm grid distance, it has been considered insufficient for MSE wall and ruled off due to some inconvenient graphical results and difficulties of application in the field. When the graphs for constant wall height and variable grid distance have been analyzed, a fluctuation in the displacement values was observed. It has been noticed that, walls with 30 cm and 50 cm grid distances had lower deformations than others. This has led to the point that, 2 m length half grids used between two main grids in order to maintain the interaction among the surface elements and geogrid reinforcements have significantly reduced the deformations in x and y-axes. It has been proven that, when the half grids and the main grids were placed with 10 cm of distance, the displacement reached a minimum level. These have also explained the reasons of maximum deformation when 20 cm of distance have been left between half grids and main grids in the MSE walls with 40 cm geogrid distance. | en_US |
