Abstract
The stress intensity factor (SIF) and j-integral are very important parameters which commonly used in Linear Elastic Fracture Mechanics (LEFM) and Elasto-Plastic Fracture Mechanics (EPFM) problems respectively. The parameters can be inferred as with each other as long as stayed in LEFM conditions. In this study, the shape and the number of nodes of the j-integral path that influence the J-integral values have been investigated. Obtained results with the appropriate path shape and the number of node points have been applied on a three-point bending beam model case. The results are compared with the values obtained ANSYS, and literature and they are compatible with each other.
