İstanbul’un Tarihsel Dokusunun Cbs Ortamında Web Arayüzleri İle İnternetten Yayımlanması

Abstract

İstanbul, tarihsel süreç içinde birçok medeniyeti yaşamıştır. Bu nedenle zengin bir tarihsel dokuya sahiptir. İstanbul, Türkiye’nin en gelişmiş ve halen daha büyümekte, gelişmekte olan ilidir. Yeni inşa edilen her türlü yer altı ve yer üstü yapıları ile büyük bir metropoldür. Bu çalışmada, coğrafi bilgi sistemi platformunda ve özelleştirilmiş web arayüzleri ile internet/intranet üzerinden İstanbul’un tarihsel dokusundan örnekler sunulması için bir sistem oluşturumuştur. Web arayüzleriyle coğrafi bilgi sistemi platformunda tarihsel dokunun sunulmasına olanak sağlayacak bu sistem, gerektiğinde İstanbul’un gelişim ve koruma süreçlerinde karar mekanizmalarına altlık oluşturabilecektir. Bu çalışma için İstanbul’daki ilk yerleşimlerden sayılabilecek Tarihi Yarımada’dan ve İ.T.Ü. bünyesinde sürdürülen Roma ve Bizans su ikmal sistemleri çalışmasından örnek veriler sunulacaktır.

Throughout its history, Istanbul has been a homeland of several civilizations. Consequently, it has a rich historical texture. Istanbul is the most developed and still developing metropolis of Turkey with its advanced infrastructures and built environment. In this study, the system which is created to publish the examples of Istanbul s historical texture will be explained with the geographical information system platform and specialized web interfaces over internet/intranet. This system, which will allow the historical texture to be published within the GIS platform with web interfaces can be used as a base for decision processes of Istanbul’s development and conservation when necessary. In this study, the exemplary works of the Historical Peninsula –which is the historical core of Istanbul- and I.T.U.’s project on Roman and Byzantine water supply systems will be mentioned and used.
