Veritabanı Teknolojisi İle Kent Bilgi Sistemleri Tasarımı

Abstract

Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri uygulamaları, coğrafi verileri konumsal ve/veya öznitelik bilgileri yönünden değerlendirerek bilgi ve harita üretmenin en kolay, hızlı ve güvenli yoludur. Kent düzeyinde bilgi içeren özel çalışmalar ise, “Kent Bilgi Sistemleri” olarak bilinir. Kent Bilgi Sistemleri çok çeşitli analizler ve farklı amaçlar için kullanılır. Pek çok dalda araç olarak kullanılmasının yanı sıra kent ile ilgili genel bir bilgi sistemi olarak da tasarlanmaktadır. Kent Bilgi Sistemlerinin internet teknolojileri ile tümleştirilmesi, bu hizmetin çok sayıda kullanıcının paylaşımına en yaygın bilgisayar ağı ile açılmasını sağlayacaktır. Bu tezde, kent bilgi sistemlerine duyulan ihtiyaç ve kent bilgi sistemlerinin yapısı anlatılmıştır. Bu sistemler, arka planda veritabanında tutulan bilgilere bağlı elemanlardan oluşan ve katman yapısı ile saklanan vektörel haritaların üretildiği ve sorgulanabildiği sistemlerdir. Tezin uygulama kısmında, bir Kent Bilgi Sisteminin internet üzerinden yayınlanması uygulaması yer almaktadır. Bir kent bilgi sistemini internet üzerinden sunmak, sunucu bir işletim sistemi aracılığı ile gerçekleştirilir. Web üzerinden bağlanan kullanıcıya sorgulama imkanı tanıyan bu sistemde, kullanıcının isteği bir kodlama dili aracılığı ile sisteme aktarılmakta ve veritabanına ulaşılarak çıkarılan sorgu sonuçlarına göre yeniden harita üretilerek istemci makinaya gönderilmektedir.

Using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) technology is the most fast, easy and realiable way of evaluating the spatial component and attributes of geographical data. If the information system is structured to involve information of a specific city, it is called an “Urban Information System”. Urban Information Systems are used practically for various purposes and analysis by relevant associatons and foundations. One of the many ways of using urban information systems is to design the system to serve general information to many users as can be. These systems will contain not detailed but basic information related with the main geographical elements on the digital map. Integration of GIS and internet technologies provide an opportunity to serve the system to users on an international wide network. In this study, the need of urban information technologies on today’s world is mentioned. The thesis informs about the structure of the urban information systems. On the application part, a web page is designed that serves a sample urban information system from a web page. To serve GIS on internet requires to be on a server operating system. This system provides the client a query chance. The client’s request, the query question is transferred to the system by a programming language, then reached to the database, the results of the query is obtained and the requested information is produced as a new map displaying results and sent to the client side.
