Bir Mimari Arketip Ve İletişim Nesnesi Olan Duvara Ait Yananlamsal Bir Analiz

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, mimari arketiplerden biri olan duvar, oluşturulma nedenleri belirli içgüdülerin eşliğinde yananlamsal olarak incelenmiş, duvarın bir iletişim nesnesi olma durumu sorgulanmıştır. Bu sorgulamada mimarlık kuramına, gerek duvara anlamsal açıdan yaklaşılarak, gerekse de eleman ölçeğinde incelenerek değinilmiştir. Çalışmanın gelişme kısmında duvarın arkaik “mekan oluşturma” özelliği, “ev” ve “tapınak” mekanlarını oluşturmaktaki anlamsallığı irdelenmiştir. Ayrıca duvarın ana işlevleri anlamsal açıdan sorgulanmış; “sınırlama”, “kapatma”, “ayırıcılık” kavramları, “korunma”, “kapalılık”, “engel”, “bağlayıcılık”, vb. yananlamları ile beraber örneklendirilerek irdelenmiştir. Gelişme kısmının son bölümünde “cephe duvar”ın “yüzey” özelliği, farklı sembolik tanımları, biçimselliği, yüzeysel özellikleri ile beraber ele alınmıştır. En son bölümde de duvarın bütün arketipik özellikleriyle bir iletişim nesnesi ve kodu olduğu öne sürülmüş, duvarın şekillenmelerinin her dönemde farklılıklar taşıyacağı, dolayısıyla her dönemde farklı iletişim düzeyleri doğuracağı, bunların toplumsal düzeyde yansımalarının da çeşitli boyutlarda değişimlerle oluşacağı varsayılmıştır.

In this study, the wall, as being one of the archetypes of architecture has been investigated in terms of its archetypal properties and questioned by the help of certain archaic instincts. In this questioning process, architectural theory has also been studied thoroughly on behalf of "walls", from the side of semantic and semiotic as well as elemental approaches. In the climax of the study, the ability of the wall, which is "building archaic space" has been investigated, together with meaning researches on "dwelling (cottage)" and "temple". Also the main functions of the wall have been studied semantically, which are "bordering", "closing", "separating", with denotative examples like, "guarding", "shutting off", "hindering", "binding", etc. The wall has also been studied under the topic of its "surface" properties, with different symbolic definitions and semantic-physical properties. In the last chapter of the study, the wall, with all its archetypal properties, is considered to be a communicative object. The archetypal properties of the wall are thought to have physical and semantic changes through changing conditions in every period of time, thus providing new and different communication media, thus creating changes in the cultural lives of the communities.
