Trabzon Kentsel Dokusunda Morfolojik Analiz

Abstract

Son yıllarda mimari tasarımlarda mekanların bir araya getirilme sürecini, mekansal ilişkileri, formal biçimlenmeleri çözümlemeye yönelik morfolojik çalışmalar artmış bu amaçla çeşitli teknikler geliştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmaya konu olan “Mekan Sentaksı”, toplumlar arası kültürel farklılıklara ve yaşam şekillerine bağlı olarak ortaya çıkan mekansal düzenlemelerin analizi için geliştirilen yöntemlerden biridir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, mimarlık ve kentsel tasarımdan arkeoloji ve antropoloji gibi çok yaygın bir çerçevede kullanılan mekan sentaksı mekansal analiz tekniklerini ele almak, kullanım alanlarını, bu teknikler ışığında yapılan çalışmaları araştırmak ve ortaya konan bulgulara bağlı olarak sözü edilen teknikler bütününün yetenek ve sınırlamaları değerlendirip, yorumlamaktır. Çalışma kapsamında tarihsel süreci içinde Trabzon kentsel yapısında ortaya konan farklı mekansal örüntülerin yerleşim ve konut ölçeğinde bu teknikler yardımıyla somut bir şekilde formüle edilmesine ve eldeki verilerle bu modellerin karşılaştırmalı bir analizinin yapılmasına çalışılacaktır

Morphological studies have increased in recent years that aim towards understanding the design of spaces and their relations, and the analysis of their formal appearances, and several techniques have been developed. Space syntax, whose theory and methods that this thesis uses, is an approach developed for analyzing the spatial configurations, which are in fact aspects relevant to the differences in cultural and social relations in different societies. The purpose of this work is to study the spatial analysis techniques of the Space Syntax, which have a broad range of application that extend from areas such as architecture and urban design to archeology and anthropology, to inquire in what ways these techniques are used, and to search for various studies that have been accomplished in the light of these techniques, and to assess and interpret their capabilities and limitations, based on the findings of those studies. This study attempts to formulate, in a concrete way, with the help of these techniques, the various spatial patterns which have been formed throughout the history of the city of Trabzon, both at the settlement and building scales, and to do a comparative analysis of the different models observed, based on the data derived.
