Coğrafi Veri Tabanı Güncelleştirmesine Yönelik Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemi Tasarımı Ve Uygulaması

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, coğrafi veri tabanlarındaki grafik ve grafik olmayan veri bileşenleri ile veri modelinin güncelleştirilmelerine yönelik bir coğrafi bilgi sistemi tasarlanmış ve gerçekleştirilmiştir. Coğrafi bilgi sistemi veri modeli ve kullanıcı arayüzleri; güncelleştirme işlemlerinin izlenebilmesi için tarih verilerinin de bilgisayar ortamında tutulabileceği şekilde tasarlanmıştır. Kullanıcı arayüzleri, Arc/Info coğrafi bilgi sistemi yazılımı ve Access veri tabanı yönetim sistemi ile hazırlanmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemi uygulamasında, kullanılan veri kümesinin veri modeli de veri sözlüğü aracılığıyla güncelleştirilebildiğinden, değişik veri kümeleri ile çalışmak olanaklıdır. Sistem, güncelleştirme işlemleri sırasında, veriler üzerinde kullanıcının gereksinim duyacağı coğrafi sorgulamaların da yapılabileceği şekilde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sonuçlar, literatürde bulunan çok az sayıdaki çalışmalarla karşılaştırdığında, önerilen yöntemlerle geliştirilen coğrafi bilgi sistemi tasarımının, coğrafi verinin güncelleştirilmesinde daha kullanışlı bir ortam sunduğu, güncelleştirme işlemlerinin daha etkin bir şekilde izlenebilmesine olanak sağladığı ve veri kullanımı yönünden esneklik sağladığı gözlenmiştir.

In this study, a Geographic Information System is designed an applied aiming to update spatial and non-spatial data components included in geographic databases, as well as data model. Geographic Information System Data model and a user interface for the Geographic Information System application is designed as to monitor updating process. The user interface is prepared utilising Arc/Info GIS software and Access Database Management System Software. In the application of GIS developed in this study, various data sets can be handled as data model of the used data set is updated via data dictionary. System is developed in such a way that spatial queries required by the user with regard to data can be addressed. When the results are compared to a few studies available in the literature, it is observed that Geographic Information System design developed through the proposed methods presents a user-friendly environment for updating geographic data, enables to monitor more efficiently the updating process, and provides flexibility in data manipulation.
