Abstract
This study deals with symmetry group propcrties and conservation Iaws of the foam drainage equation. Foaming occurs in many distillation and absorption processes. The drainage of liquid foams involves the interplay of gravity, surface tension, and viscous forces. Firstly we stüdy the classical Lie symmetries of the foam drainage equation which are obtained through the Lie group method of infinitesimal transformations. Secondly using the new general theorem on nonlocal conservation laws local conservation laws are also studied
