1950-1970’lerde İstanbul’da Konut Mimarisi: Bağdat Caddesi Örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, İstanbul’un yoğun konut yerleşimlerinden, Anadolu yakasında yer alan Bağdat Caddesi ve paralelindeki sokaklarda 1950-1970 tarihleri arasında gelişmiş olan konut gruplarını incelemek ve değerlendirmek hedeflenmiştir. Bu konut gruplarının sahip oldukları özellikleri edinene kadar bölgede yaşanan tarihsel süreçler, İstanbul’un geçirdiği kentleşme hareketleri, Boğaziçi Köprüsü’nün yapılması, imar kanunu değişiklikleri ile şekillenen bölgede, incelenen yıllarda üretilmiş konutların bugün ortadan kalktığının gözlenmesi de böyle bir çalışma yapmada yönlendirici olmuşturThe region studied, Kadıköy, The Anatolian side of İstanbul, is one of the main housing areas and the housings which were built between 1950-1970s, were heavily influenced by the social, political and economical aspects of the Turkish Republic and also by the movements all over the world. This region is bounded by 2 main factors: one is the natural boundary of the Marmara Sea shore and the other is the artificial boundary,railway, which passes parallel to the Bağdat Street. Bağdat Street and the streets parallel to it are one of the main housing areas of Kadıköy district. The architectural discourse of these houses can be considered as Modern architecture and they are valuable with their unique character.
